i was just waiting for sometime to get myself convinced that the issue was indeed resolved beofre i could post on the forum.
But unfortunately the resolution doesnot seem to be in place.
i did report the issue to ATHER customer care, who very promptly arranged for the pick-up of my vehicle(it had completely died down). Needless to mention, they had a Tata Ace to tow the vehicle away very professionally.
After inspection and some adjustments (not sure what as i was told that “it was a bit too technical for me to understand”) the vehicle was returned to me saying the issue was now resolved and the error would not pop-up !
Anyway, the error did show up again and disappeared on its own a couple of times and then this morning i go and take the bike out and turn the key on… the ERROR was starring on me and like before, though the motor is shown as On, the vehicle was non-responsive
Glad that it was at home and not somewhere on the way to office, hence i could just push the vehicle back to the parking lot and made alternate arrangements to head to office. Have contacted Customer care and am awaiting for action.
My confidence level has indeed dipped and get anxious for people like @Abhishek who are venturing outside of ATHER support area, even though mine is seemingly a one off case.
Very unfortunate to hear this… Feels sad… Please ask customer care to retain your vehicle for some days for observation and ask for standby vehicle for your daily commute.

So I interacted with a member of the ather team, and he told me that they stopped production on July 1st and resumed it after 10 days itself.
So production is going on right now. But all the new athers shall be delivered only in August-september. And 16 July will be the last date of scooter delivery for a while.
Yes have done that and the vehicle has been picked up y’day. Have told CustCare to retain the bike and do all the necessary checks & fixes.
Had requested for a standby/loaner bike, but have not got any reply on that so far…
Hope you have Ather’s customer care whatsapp number. If the vehicle cannot be returned on the same day, they will offer you a standby. Wish you a speedy recovery.
Yesterday in office and home, I shutdown instead of just turn off. What I noticed in both instance is: the current ride does not reset to ZERO. It just continues from the time before shut down. It has been 3 rides in 24 hours. But, the current ride goes ON and ON.

I think caller alert doesn’t require bluetooth , Ather can implement something similar to join and pushbullet apps. These apps can notify incoming and outgoing calls when you are using desktop. Pushbullet Join
What if when there is a network issue?
We all know the network is unreliable.
Also how does it know which phone should it be connected? There ain’t Bluetooth

A) Last time the update download took a week for me, today I got the email from Ather about the updates at around 6. Got App notification on Android Ather app at 7 and then the scooter was showing the orange dot on top. Installation was seamless as usual.
B) The Eco mode is not bad at all…took it for a quick short spin and I felt it was way better than the Eco mode that I had ridden in the test ride vehicle at Chennai.
The battery percentage inside the progress bar in the charging screen is nice
