Even I have my dad’s yezdi bought 33 years ago, but it is lying unused in one corner of the parking lot, I need to revive it some day. Near it, I will also have the 450 parked, hope my dad will get used to EV soon!

A Yezdi?? In a garage?? Please get it out from there!! Its meant to be on road! You own a vintage… I have a Pulsar that turned classic last year. Waiting to get my hands on Ather, so that I can get it completely overhauled! She’s been with me for 16 years/2 lakh kms. She deserves some spa treatment now!

I had planned to make some space for the 450 by selling the Yezdi to a friend. As fate would have it, the buyer backed out at the last moment. By this time, i found another space in the parking lot for the 450. Now the ancient and the futuristic will coexist side by side

One of my friends (not at Ather owner) has 3 vintage 2 wheelers with him. A Yamaha RX 100, A 1961 Jawa and A Kinetic Honda scooter! I am jealous to the core of him!!

Chennai pre-order folks taking delivery today, it’s just a couple of hours before you all become Owners today!

My advice, atleast for the first few days, don’t care about the mileage and just enjoy the ride. I understand the weather gods are forecasting favorable temperatures there, so make best use of it.

Also we would love to see photos of the 450 in front of some of Chennai’s iconic spots.

After TN Govt.'s new EV policy release which brought down road tax from 4% to 0%. Does the price revised for 1st batch Chennai customers accordingly.? If not then from 2nd batch will it get effected.?

If you’re curious about how the order process works, we’ve clarified it in this thread:

TLDR;

The order IDs do not correspond to the number of vehicles being delivered. The delivery timelines updated on your dashboard are correct and will definitely keep you updated on the forum and over email if anything changes.

On the Order IDs and payment window opening, here’s how it works:

Order IDs correspond to an order made on through Ather Website or at the experience center. An order ID is created when you fill in your details on https://app.atherenergy.com/preorder.

Remember not all pre-orders convert to an owner. People cancel or hold off on the Ather 450 for various reasons. However, everyone deserves a fair chance to get the vehicle, so the option to pay opens up in batches, and remains open for some time to complete the payment.

If you don’t pay in the given time, your order is moved to the subsequent batches.

Once the payment is done, various processes like vehicle assignment, registration, charging point installation etc are initiated.

The vehicle delivery process happens in the order of payments completed. The faster you make your payment, the quicker you’re likely to get your hands on the Ather 450
