ATHER 450x failed it's promised mileage

Yes, they didn’t paid me but after my post on social media they did take one week only to arrange the technician (mechanic) for solving my problem & that person arranged after I had deleted my post on social media. The intentions are clear.

The person solve my scooter issue within half an hour costing me Rs 1500 & when I ask him how to troubleshoot this problem if appears again, he didn’t told me.

You can understand how can I manage my daily work for a week without my primary vehicle.

Please refer to this thread in case you still don’t think its practically possible to get good efficiency. These aren’t a handful owners who can achieve good numbers, its a LOT of owners who can manage to do so. This thread might help you!

So were you asked to delete the post, post fixing the issue or before fixing the issue? But again SC is the right place to address our issues than the social media handles and incase if the vehicle has complete breakdown RSA should be the way. Support from Twitter handles should be the last thing because we already have SC and helpline support.

You’ve contradicted your own statement now.

If you really feel your issue should be hanging in the social media you can put a post saying this is my review and have faced this issue because complaints are usually closed once the issues are fixed, that’s how it works.

R u really thinks m not addressed issues to SC ??

It’s well known fact that trust the one whom you see (SC) & not the one you only heard about (Social media)

This is the reason why I don’t go for ola or simple one.

Here m just sharing my thoughts & experience.

See bro neither I have paid for criticising nor I have paid to give good review. I m facing problems that too not getting solve in limited span of time. & That only m writing here. I don’t understand why you are reacting like there shouldn’t be any problem.

I’ve never reacted as if there shouldn’t be any problem in fact I myself have said I’ve had problems and visited SC thrice in a month, there can be and will be problems but saying we’re being paid to hide problems isn’t really nice.

For you service centre might be near, so it’s ok for you to visit thrice or even more than that.

For me it’s more than 120 kms. To visit SC I need two days, you can imagine how annoying to visit SC on regular intervals for small problem which they can guide us & we can fix it as per their instructions.

See many people like you who doesn’t bother visiting SC for small problem, never share these problems, because of which people like us are suffer, I mean this by my statement.

Tell me one thing is it fare enough to you to visit SC thrice in few months for a brand new thing for which you paid 1.5 lakhs, for whatever small or big issue ??

Definitely no I’ve never said it’s a good experience but I hope you’ve seen what thread this is and what we’ve been talking and suggesting about, instead of discussing on range we’ve been discussing on SC and vehicle issues and the way it is handled and saying that we’re hiding about problems. I understand you’re frustrated and disappointed with the experience, but to put it out create a different post and you can constructively criticize Ather about your experience. So that the threads are organised and are helpful to others.

Of course If you go through my first post m asking the representative the same question (about kms driven)

But all are suggesting for good range you have to do this & that. Whereas my question is not the range, I understood if I not ride efficiently my range would be lower. But my point is if I ride inefficiently then my wh per km increases say to 45 Wh/Km, so I should cover atleast 48 kms (as usable battery capacity locked to 2200 Wh), but I can drive only 40 kms only. The question is simple why ??? Is it means battery capacity is locked lesser than 2200 Wh??

Instead of understanding my question people again asking to improve my ride style, isn’t it funny & frustrating??

The one which you have shared has a problem from the system for sure that I can agree and have already agreed

And i can also see someone from Ather team has responded to you as well

And I’ve also seen the person apologized for misunderstanding you too

This is the only statement I’ve said is not a really nice one.

Sry for my words

It’s came out of frustration

It’s not only here, but i have listed this problem on telegram group & on WhatsApp group, but everywhere people are are suggesting me something else instead of understanding my question

I once again sry if I heart some one

Don’t teach on how to ride even after if we maintain the riding style I hv read many article here on how to get better mileage but even I hv never got the claimed by Ather users mileage so plz stop irritating me saying how to ride a scooty I hv switched from plenty of bikes owned earlier and at present eveb I hv 2 bikes and they are Dominar and Perak I see the Dominar even gives an estimated mileage on per litre fuel showing sometimes 22kmpl and sometimes it shows 43kmpl too, so that depends on the acceleration and gear shift on what kind of road I’m onto and the movement of the bike. So I think I don’t hv to learn from the Ather guys on how to ride a EV as I hv experience in riding a motorcycle and not a horse.

I need true statement I’m not here for the estimations of digital meter that thing is practically actual in my electricity energy meter ( this is for an example for the noob who is here to teach me how to be a perfect EV rider )

Mileage is entirely based on your riding style. The below screenshot shows how throttle input can make a big difference to the range.

You probably need to read this post, while refraining from belittling people who are trying to help, please.

If you want tips on good mileage, please read through the below thread. I would say, following these steps can increase throughput very much, be it XL80 or Dominar.

Nobody can teach the core memory of a brain. Like you said you have ridden many bikes cars scooters and ev. But the problem is people riding better and getting good range. Well I have also owned the scooter for now more than 2.5 years but I never went for the milage thing I bought this has a high speed alternative to TVS ntorq, zooming in and zooming out is a fun in Ather And I have never been disappointed, I would suggest to ignore the said claims and enjoy the ride you will get the hang of it.

The rides of 8.8km, are those single rider or with pillion? Were they on incline roads/flyovers?

36wh/km is the best you have achieved, which seems decent if it was with a pillion.

These all are ride without any pillion… way to office and home sometimes outdoor works only the road is bad as a new fly-over bridge is under construction :construction: so hv to brake quite often and then re-acceleration sucks the battery badly I know that so for that I keep on either Sports or Wrap mode sometimes this days or else Wrap is not needed for me Sports is really usefull.

I don’t see any clarity in the estimations generated on the app its more or less I see is a fake.

How much do you weigh, don’t mind me asking, just checking the payload. Those numbers are a bit unusual. My most aggressive rides are still 32-34wh/km, that’s cos I weigh 57kg :stuck_out_tongue:
For eg :

My front brake caliper was stuck a few weeks ago, and scooter had a tough time moving even, and yet my efficiency was 36wh/km max! :open_mouth:
