Is anyone else also facing this issue? The service history has been wiped.

Do we have a solution? I’d like to download a PDF of my service record, don’t trust the app now

Based on the previous calculation, the natural airflow at 100 km/h directed toward the motor is estimated to be between 212 CFM and 318 CFM. This is a reasonable amount of airflow, but it may not be enough to maintain optimal motor temperatures, especially during aggressive riding or when the motor is under heavy load (such as at high speeds or steep inclines).

Key Considerations for Additional Cooling:

  1. Motor Heat Generation:

    • The Ather 450X motor generates around 600 watts of heat during typical operation, with a maximum of about 6 kW power output.
    • To keep the motor cool, the total cooling capacity (from both natural airflow and added fan) needs to be sufficient to dissipate this heat effectively.
  2. Target Cooling (CFM):

    • Based on the estimate of 600 watts of heat and the earlier discussion that 1 CFM is approximately needed for every 1 watt of heat, the fan needs to contribute an additional 600 CFM to adequately cool the motor. However, the natural airflow already provides around 212-318 CFM.

How Much More Cooling is Needed:

  • The total airflow you need for cooling the motor is approximately 600 CFM.
  • With 212-318 CFM coming from natural airflow, you’ll need an additional 282-388 CFM to maintain optimal cooling at 100 km/h.

Options for Adding Cooling:

  • Fan Size & CFM:
    • If you use a fan that provides around 100 CFM (such as a 120 mm fan), you would still be short by around 182-288 CFM.
    • A 140 mm fan providing 150-200 CFM could get you closer to the required airflow, but it would still fall a bit short.
    • The 120 mm industrial fan you mentioned earlier, which provides 200 CFM, could help a lot and would bring the total to 412-518 CFM, still leaving a small shortfall, but likely enough for most conditions.

Conclusion:

To properly cool the motor under typical high-speed or heavy-load conditions:

  • If you’re aiming for 600 CFM of total airflow, you need to add around 282-388 CFM to what you’re already getting from the natural airflow.
  • A 120 mm fan (200 CFM) could be a good starting point, providing almost enough cooling when combined with natural airflow.
  • If you want to be extra cautious and ensure optimal cooling, consider going for a 140 mm fan providing 200-250 CFM.

This will give you the extra airflow necessary to keep the motor at a safe temperature, especially during long rides or when pushing the scooter to its limits.

New vehcile from Ather need to better cooling passive design or very strong active cooling or proper liquid cooling

Some concerns regarding SC booking/enquiry experience. I can’t tell if the service center is available or not today (May 1st location holiday?). Tried the following:-

  1. Booked a service yesterday evening for today via app.

  2. Suspected a holiday, Called multiple SC numbers, all go to automated voice and says Ather is not open Today.

  3. Tried cancelling booking, it does nothing on clicking the button.

  4. Only reschedule button and picking a different date and time worked.

  5. Attempt to Reschedule for a different time slot today shows no availability - either same day booking isn’t allowed or time slots were closed quite late, probably cause today is a holiday?

  6. All Sundays are a holiday yet shows slots for booking.

  7. Tried enquiry via whatsapp by clicking help button, an auto filled msg for me to send was generated and this is what I got:-

“Hey there, I am Arvind Nair, my registration number is undefined. I am facing issue around my vehicle service with job card undefined”

All this in one day. The overall service booking experience still has much to improve.

The Poor Way of Service

Anyone noticed Ather is removing battery covers from bottom of scooter and fixing new plate during general service?

There are pressure Vent Valve located exactly at that place. Ideally one has to look at it and make sure it hasn’t exploded.

Past 3-4 Months Ather doing

Ather 450 series Ather Forum Ather Grid, Accessories and more Community Support

I bought 450x LR on 5th April 2024. After use of 1 year on 8th April 2025 my charger’s fan stop working. Due to that charger getting heat. And charging is sloved down (4 to 5% in a hour). I had an appointment for 10k service on 9th April 2025. On that day i informed to service Engineer regarding my problem of charger. He inspect the charger and called someone. After that he imformed me that the charger will be replaced under warrenty. But charger is not in the stock it will available within a week. It is almost a month still i didn’t get the charger. If i ask the charger their answer is “it will be available by tomorrow”. I contacted customer care, raised ticket also mailed to custermer support. Still no update on my issue.

Now what can i do…? @smridhi.kalati

Is there any report or documentation available from the service center regarding the battery health and soc

I recently gave my 450X for service 20,000 km and specifically requested an SoC and cell imbalance check, as I noticed a drop in range. However, when I went to collect the scooter, they didn’t provide any report and simply said the battery health is good

Give them proper evidence otherwise they will say battery health is good even you get 10km Total range.

You can ask them to show the report. The person checking it generally takes pic of the report from his laptop. Even if he doesn’t, it will be stored in your service report. You can ask them to show it. They will show.

It will have the cell imbalance and the SoH .

I am writing to express my disappointment with the repeated issues I have faced while trying to get my Ather 450X serviced at showroom.

I have booked the service appointment in advance on three separate occasions, and each time I was asked to bring the vehicle to the showroom. However, on all three visits, my vehicle was not accepted for service, citing reasons that were unclear and seemed unrelated to the booking.

Each visit required me to take official permission from my workplace, and unfortunately, due to the repeated failures to provide the service, I may no longer be able to get such permissions in the future. Name : Vamsi Mobile : 8886181212 Dealer : Ather Bellary / Hospet
