Woah. I have company. Never thought I’d meet someone here who flashes custom roms.
Today, surprised to see the update notification within 20 minutes of driving thru good network area…
Unfortunately came back from vacation and I had low charge… So had to shut down to preserve charge to go back from office to home…
@Ather.Team any update on fixing this issue where downloaded OTA is preserved during shutdown?
After new update which was rolled out yesterday vehicle feels good. Where sound has reduced and pick is excellent.
Is the eco mode still there and how about the motor auto on off while riding in slow speed which is very irritating.
This has never ever happened to me. Please log an issue, it’s dangerous if the motor shutsoff while you drive
Are you sure it is the motor that is switching on and off? Or are you talking about the Motor Fan?
If it is the Motor, then it is highly dangerous as Raghav has written…get it solved as early as possible!!!
Eco mode will not be removed in this update (or in the near future too)!
Oops , I was talking about the cooling fan for the motor auto on off .
I was planning to move back to an older firmware 2.1.5 which was best suited for my riding pattern.
I am regretting moving to new firmware 4.x hence was checking if the new update makes any difference and features added.
Has anyone noticed how the vehicle switches the mode to Eco when you switch it off? Even after riding in Sport mode.
Like, after a shutdown, it switches to eco, so when I start it next, I don’t realise I’m riding in eco and I’m like, why is it so slow?? And then I’m like oh, it’s in eco.
This may be a minor glitch, but I’d like the vehicle to just remember the last mode and not change it each time.
This used to happen even before the Eco update. I didn’t mind it earlier because Ride mode is still manageable.
It used to happen before ECO mode too. When you start after a full shutdown the driving mode used to default to Ride mode.
I just wish some day @Ather.Team or replies to such queries raised which will benefit everyone.
Meanwhile, another query:
Yesterday, I got the update downloaded again and after I reached home I could not install as I had only 15% SOC. So, plugged in the charger and thought to install it the next day at free time…
Morning, I was in hurry to drop my kid to school. I turned on the vehicle and I see a message something like “Installation complete”… I had to wait for around 3 minutes for the update to over.
I am not sure why the installation was auto without any confirmation…
Install is auto at 3am…
Maybe initialisation was 3 mins…
When I clicked the orange Dot from notifications (when waiting for signal), it showed me two options
- update now
- update at 3:00 a.m.
I clicked cancel because I want to do what my convenient time (after I come home and charge it). So I am not sure then how 3 AM is considered as preference…
Please check ather team reply on this update…
They clearly mention that need to switch on to update firmware as this contain changes in motor working. So need to be powered on for that calibration.
I agree that and understand that.
I meant that The installation should not start without we initiating thru (schedule or Update now).
Update is totally inconsistent. Some times it will show like this. Some times it will not have any updates regarding charging. So need to go to ground floor for checking
Check your Vehicle firmware version. If it is older than 4.0.4.612543, then this behaviour is expected. You have to install the OTA. version 4.0.4.612543 has fixed this issue.
Oh new update released, I didn’t get any notification. Thank you !
