Simple Energy One

As soon as I saw the battery packs, I was wondering how are they gonna fit 2 of these into the scooter.

If it cannot fit 2 of these at the same time, then it will be a big disappointment. I was kinda expecting 1 under the footboard and 1 under the seat once they announced the 4.8 kWh capacity.

One interesting thing is, they seem to be announcing 2 models. A cheaper variant with 2.4 kWh and another with 4.8 kWh based on the below reply from the CEO on twitter.

The Simple One continues with the independence day theme. When it launches on August 15, 2021, pre-bookings will also begin the same day from 5pm onwards, for an amount of Rs. 1,947

This man’s observation skills :fire:. I was like one nine four seven hmm very strange or am I that dumb and negligent:). Once Yuvaraj from the whatsapp group put that thought in me I have been thinking,I really wish we can atleast fit in the battery in boot(not possible ig but if its a yes it will be soo good, your ideology seems true but it’s just 3 days away let’s wait and see what on offer. @power_light2000 very much similar schedule:)

As I said earlier I don’t have that trust factor in Simple Energy and let us see once the vehicle is actually up ofr deliveries and customer feedback is available. It is good if they deliver their promises.

They are keeping the range reveal for last from the looks of it. But the dashboard screenshot gave it away… 188Kms atleast!

Range is mentioned on their site already

EDIT: Oh dang, it’s back to the old site now! It said 236 km. Maybe they changed their mind?

Not seeing the updated site  looks like the old version right now

They are committing to deliver in 75 cities (across 13 states) in the next 3-4 months. Having seen the problems Ather has faced, I would be massively surprised if a new startup manages this. Unless they have a trick up their sleeves that nobody else has thought of…

I am just hoping this is not going to be one of those overpromise and underdeliver scenarios.

205 kms range at 45-50 kms in real time. 235 kms in Internal testing.

  • Has both fixed and detachable battery

  • Price is 1,09,999 without subsidy.

  • They specifically targeted ather by giving in built TPMS

Damn , ather future is looking bleak now :joy::joy:

Being a 450x owner I feel bad saying this but ather might be in a big trouble now

To be honest I’m as excited with Simple One as I was with Ather a few years back. Looks good.

they are also going to have a “one community” just like here

While Simple Energy announced a lot of smart features, I really don’t mind if most of those smart features don’t work. All I need is ride statistics with good syncing.

If it has good build quality without annoying niggles that is enough for me. Great range, performance at a fantastic price.

For me Simple energy is still a over promised product. Couldn’t give me that confidence. For now OLA got it spot on.
