I heard that home charger installation costs 9000+ and portable charger is 5000+.
If the customer opts for portable charger, would he get any compensation from ather.
I am living in a rented house and may be in a year or so , I am planning to buy an apartment. So I donât want ather to install home charger in my rented house.

Charger installation scheduled at 9 AM today. Lokesh and team arrived at 9:10. Started work around 9:15 finished before 10 AM. FANTASTIC WORK by Lokesh. FYI the charger box is just beside my electric meter box. We have double earthing in the house. No earthing was required. Lokesh said it was one of the fastest installation.

Can someone from ather reply on this ,
If I opt for a travel charger rather than home charging point , would I get any compensation .
If I am not getting any compensation , atleast will I get any assurance from ather that in future , incase If I need to install home charging point , i would be charged only 5000+.
So in any case home charge point + travel charger should not exceed the extra 5000 re price tag.

This does look like a better option. Will Ather do installation in this way if customer asks for it? Does anyone know if Ather supports installation on thirdparty/DIY floorstands? I canât spend 4k for the floorstand.

This is possible when all sides are free. Not all pillars will have all 4 sides open.
I donât know if Ather will install pod on third party/DIY stands

I have a home charger installation pending due to issues with my apartment. Had to purchase the cable extra. Paid the 5k or so. I wonât be getting a refund for the home charger, since itâs a promotion. I could have opted for the cable as the promotion, but I wanted to wait for the permissions.
Basically you can pick which you want free with your vehicle, but canât ask for a refund since itâs a promotion.

Hi, My apartment currently have no provision to draw lines from the meter room to individual parking lots (mostly because the entire constriction is concrete including walls and the builder is hesitant). However, we are negotiating with them to provide one common provision for a charging center for all electric vehicles. But I can see this causing issues among others as there wont be any meter installed here and will be billed under common utility. Is there a way where we know how much units of power is being consumed by each vehicle from the home charging units/portable charging units? This way we could atleast keep tab of how much electricity each vehicle is using from the common point?

When they say lines for the charging pod will be taken from the metre room. Isnât it drawn from our flat metre?
How has it been done in other apartments @Ather.Team? Taking power from the building however less will be an issue.

It will be taken from the apartment/flat meter and not from the common meter.
All apartment buildings are constructed using concrete!!!
There is no provision required from the builders side. Ather technicians will install wiring from your own meter to your own parking slot. they use conduits and the installation doesnât damage the building in any way. search for pictures

AFAIK charging pod is bundled with your scooter. And travelling charger is additional accessory. Even I asked same question but this is wat thy replied. And Home charging pod is vehicle specific⌠Itâll be binded to Ur vehicle and no one can charge with ur pod.

If the apartment is still under construction, you could ask him to provide wiring till your designated parking spot. Donât fix a socket or anything now, just put in wiring incase owners would like to utilise that later.

Also ask the builder to not skimp and wire the earthing connection as well. Without the earth line, your point is an oversized paper weight.

I got my home charging point installed today evening. Thanks to Shivu and Kiran, they did a very good job and installed the point as per my needs. Thanks to @Ather.Team for fulfilling my request by rescheduling my slot to this week which was previously scheduled mid next week. Awaiting delivery of my vehicle!

Day 3 - Earthing Point Final completion.
Note : Positive Comments.
In June Month, Ather team was busy by opening payment window for more order idâs, 3 consecutive mass delivery and 2nd Owners Meet and Finally the Chennai launch event pre - works. I was not able to get appointment to finish / close out earthing point installation work done at home through multiple emails and phone calls. I have gave break to them. As Ather said, Charging point was up at home before my vehicle get delivered on 10th June 2019 but finishing work was pending.

Electrically Wire directly mounted to the wall without fibre protect [Un-Safe]
Meanwhile, I personally arranged someone who can help me to close earth digged point [3 points | 2 - Failed and 1 - Passed ] closed by aligning earthing wire with cement. Hurry up was due to the reason earthing chemical used to washed way by rain.

After these, Happily enjoying the ride of delivered Ather 450 on roads 
When i visited, Ather office to attend 2nd Owners Meet on 23rd June 2019, I have informed about the installation pending work to Pradeep [Customer relationship head ] as soon he delegate my work to person [ Lady <Forgot name, Sorry>, By nature who listened my problem ] and confirmed she will take it forwards by making point in her work note [Dairy].
I cannot believe, by next day 24th June 2019 at 11AM i got call from Ather, confirmed they will be reaching my home by 13:00 to finish remaining work [electrical wire inline with fibre protect] and completed work by 13:30 by Ather charging point installation team person - [Mr - Lokesh] @lokesh.mydream Thanks again.
Finally, i got payment link to pay for additional efforts made to setup earthing point installation done at home of Rs - 3540 inclusive of GST
I saw a post one of forum user who quotes plan to disable earthing point check in charging pod with custom firmware update. i recommend not to make such update always ensure safety and argue to go with earthing fix or installation.

Hi, just pre-ordered one today. I have a question regarding the point installation. Can it be installed indoor rather than outside the house as the wire can be sent through the windows while charging?
The point will blink green while charging! You donât want your entire house lighting up.like that at night!

Also, the wire may not be long enough to reach the vehicle comfortably.
