There is a quote “If you’re not paying for the product, then you’re the product”.
I’m ready to pay, but Ather doesn’t comment on data collection. Why should I pay and still share my data for their future product developments?

I have no problem in your concern about data being collected. You can wait for answer from Ather team on this.
I am only referring to the price earlier vs price now. It became much better value for money with this price revision.

Contacted customer care and they replied that for scooters bought between June and July 2023 the connect plan will be valid for one year even with pro pack. Such a shame !!

Pro Connect is Free for 3 years for anyone who has purchased the vehicle after 11th August 2023 offer should be valid till end of the month atleast

I think ull have to visit service center to do that. Coz u wont have data plan active on ur scooter to receive it.

I don’t think you will be able get OTA update without Ather connect. Ather connect enables 4G SIM and network for Ather. No network no OTA update.

The connection on your scooter is still working right? It has not stopped. It will not stop on 31 August also. It is just showing like that because it is the same for everyone right now. It will get updated later

I purchased the plan today and it shows expiry on 22 August 2026. But shouldn’t it be 1 September 2026 as my current plan expires on 31 August 2023

Whoever has Ather 450x with pro plan or high end modal, we should not pay for Ather connect plan, we have already paid for all these features when we bought Ather 450x.
Ather, this is a wrong way of earning.
Let’s not buy Ather connect plan.
One solution for them, don’t provide upcoming features to those don’t have Ather connect plan. But we should have all the features that was available at the time for purchase.

Yes you did, no one is taking those features away from you. You will continue to have them in the scooter. Just that functions such as Google Maps, Find My Scooter etc that require internet connection, you will have to pay for the internet required to use them.
When you buy a car with connected features (such as app unlock, geofencing etc) you have to pay yearly fee to use them after the initial free period ends. What’s so wrong about it? Why do people want everything for free?
