Whats the point in having pro pack sold for 20k additional while buying. When u have buy subscription after the free subscription. 20k for what they are charging hardware is same on both non pro n pro. Only disabled by software. When u don’t subscribe anyways those features will be disabled. And pro scooters will be as good as non pro. Doesn’t make sense

There were no updates under “see all rides” on the app, for me yesterday.
The update which finally appeared shows 45.8 km in 618 minutes (did not separate home → office, time at work, office → home, like it should/ always does)
I do feel a little silly at the moment about having ponied up for Ather connect , but then again I know it will get fixed. Hopefully when it does, the to and from fields will get populated once again too
If it is a permanent thing - then I will write to them asking for my money back as existing features are deleted

U didn’t get my question here. Why it is call pro pack when anyway we have to buy subscription after free period is over. And what about people who purchased before like i have bought in feb 2023 i have also paid for performance upgrade which is now called pro pack. im not eligible for the 3yrs free connectivity subscription. Why not launch base 450x n subscription base connectivity feature. We are jst paying 20k extra for unlocking the software.

With pro pack you have option to subscribe, base variant can’t subscribe even if they are ready to pay for subscription.
But I can understand how it must feel Ather wants recurring revenue so they made up things like this. If they have sold 450x without any variants and subscription for connect and service plan it would be easy. While purchasing also I don’t know how many owners knew that in future they have to pay for these features, dealership sales people might not have explained properly about these additional costs owners need to incurr for using all features

I have purchased 450X Gen3 in Feb 2023 paid around 1.64L for the Ather connect features too. But now who purchased the vehicle recently(as mentioned after 12 April 2023) doesn’t need to pay for subscription pack for next 3 years till 2026. I don’t know whats the understanding here vehicle purchased on Feb will get the features only for 6 months. Also It will not be an issue to pay 1999 for 3 years cause we already paid 1.40L after charger refund. But I can only see Ather base pack to purchase, will that include all the pro pack features also Ather Assure Pro or is it need to be purchased seperately after paying 1999 for 3 years. Please let us know before paying for the Ather Connect feature. And the discounted payment if done before September 1 2023 that is before Ather connect gets disconnected. 3 years considered from the date of payment or the expiry will be till September 1 2026? Please let us know the response on the above 2 clarification.

Thats cus u got a connected vehicle, and every connected vehicle requires a regular internet connection, server maintenance, and a lot of other expenses that wouldn’t otherwise be present in a non-connected vehicle.
The Pro pack was an add-on which gave you access to ’Pro’ features (including optimised charging, autohold along with the maps, apps and everything else)
Just how when you buy a top model car with connected car features (be it a Maruti or Kia or BMW or Mercedes) they have a recurring fee to keep the connected features running. If you opt for a lower model, sure you save money but you loose out the ability to subscribe to ‘Connected Features’ at all.
One improvement Ather could do is use Bluetooth for turn-by-turn navigation via smartphone (like 450s) for those users not interested in subscribing to Ather Connect!

Whoever bought the 450x before the pro pack was introduced, paid 20k+ for performance upgrade. The performance upgrade cost is higher than the current pro pack cost.
But the customers who opted for pro pack get connected features but who opted for performance upgrade need pay recurring charges. How is it fair?

Hello everyone i think new pricing is very fair. Previously we used to pay 2400 + GST for one year nearly ₹236 per month.
Ather have came down realising the fact it’s too much
Now ₹1999 including GST for 3 years meaning ₹55 per month is very good pricing
I can understand people’s concern if they felt mislead by Ather as for a normal person looking at website also feels like if we get pro pack all the connectivity features are free and available, even sales people might not have explained it to them as for 1st year for current purchases it is bundeled (3 years for few). Everything else is hidden in fine print but this is very good pricing for the services provided.
In case of Ola still pricing is not announced it’s going free, tvs I have no idea, chetak even without maps they are also charging for connected app

Plan is no doubt good, but main problem is that connected features for which we are paying should be lag free and bug free. Most of the time maps lag and dashboard freezes while driving.

Bluetooth works without the Ather Connect subscription.

I m referring to Chetak. If you want access to Chetak app 2k / year. Without that you can’t use Bluetooth call / music options.

I still remember in the initial years where we were pushing Ather to bring the monthly cost for Ather Connect plan to 150/month. But, Ather justified by citing the SIM charges and Infrastructure cost. Eventually, we all got it for free for 2 years.
At 1,299 / year or 2,999 / 3 years, it is way more cheaper and it becomes a no-brainer.
