For the Ola supporter, I personally tested OLA S1 pro before and after OS 3 update. But the thermal cutoff and acceleration lag is something which can’t be ignored while spending Lakhs on something. Its poor engineering and can’t be resolved by only OTA updates like navigation issues in Ather.

Did you even read what is required in AIS-156?
A small version of their context
- INGRESS requirement of at least 7 - Ather
- Run different scenarios of Thermal runway - Ather
- Performace - Ather
- Vibration test, mechanical test, Thermal shock, Overcharge protection, External fire, ?
AIS -156 is still in draft according to Morth, I wonder how did this company get the certificates

I said, Simple One “CLAIM” to be only one. It does not mean “Ather do not have that certificate”. Try to understand comments before rushing into reply.

You are here Commenting on a Forum that belongs to Ather. Any interest you have in other companies and claims here is not gonna help the community grow.
My post reflects on the very little understanding you have of how things work in this community. I have tried to make you understand that Ather’s battery pack exceeds the requirements of AIS-156. Hope you can shed hate and give Ather a Chance.

Go through the Forum completely and you will find a variety of topics not related to Ather only and then you will know how community works. We are here for customers and not for the company (ies). Ather (no doubt) has been at pioneer in engineering but if someone else is approaching the same milestones that too at a lower cost then why should customer abide by Ather. Speak for customers not for companies.

It would not be good business decision, while that can help Ather to upsell few thousands, it would have more negative impact due to word of mouth.

same here Ather’s pricing is now hard to swallow.Personally i never recommended OLA cause of throttle cut on braking but i didnt even notice on hyper mode.maps were working better on my Ather but they looked like finished product on ola.In terms of thermals i felt ola slowing down a bit after my third pull in hyper but it shouldnt be and issue in high speed or other weathers so the extra 20kmph speed over Ather is also a cherry on top

What if we buy the Ather 450x without pro pack and use the previous Gen2 or Gen3 charger, will it charge faster like 4-5 hours or still will it take 15 hours?

No need, I’ve been here way longer to know what Ather has been doing. And I have no interest to make up your mind to buy one. People like you have already decided and just couldn’t swallow the hard pill.

It will still take 15hours to charge from 0 to 100%,because it is limited to it

And you were trying to sell SimpleOne scooters. So there’s that…
It is not launched yet, how can I sell it. For all those thinking that I am a hater of Ather, kindly go through all my posts and see I have said pros and cons for every scooter out there(Ola, Ather, TVS etc.) otherwise leave. Blind devotees. Keep charging for 15 hrs

Read community Guidelines before calling out your frustration, as I said nobody is interested in clearing you out. PS: This forum that the company manages is for their benefit. What they do is COMPLY with the new government norms. Before the price change, they would sell the software (upgrade) and Charger separately. now Govt. requires that to avail of FAME subsidy Companies should bring their prices under prescribed norms and cannot sell chargers separately. The only it was possible was to have a slow charger included and A proper charger to be sold separately.
And for Software that they sold separately is out of the question. so now 450x only comes with basics. and pro is the rebrand of the performance pack.
I don’t get paid anything here, @tarun please look into it, I’ve had enough of this BS without pay.

If this is the case all the company’s selling Smart Phones also should have charged for providing App and Security Updates to the phone.
In Ather, additional 30K to pay only for the features controlled by software!!! Now they are providing for 3 years i.e. 10K / year. At this price we’ll get a good Smartphone with far better configurations than what provided by Ather. Which can be used for years without any additional charges for updates.
We are Not even sure if it’s having 4G since there is no indications. If it’s really 4G why the map is so laggy?
If WiFi was enabled we could use our mobile hotspot at least sometimes when needed a good connection.
Ola has this, but why Not in Ather?
Just think, is it really worth paying 10K / year just for a software? Do we pay anything for a Smartphone for software updates after we purchase?
If it’s some hardware upgrade, this can be agreed. By software even the company won’t save anything. They have simply split the amount just for sake of subsidy. 30K, It cannot be the actual amount of a software.

i think you have been misinformed. Pro pack is just a one time purchase at the time of buying the scooter.

But the software updates and mobile apps validity is still 3 years. After that you have to subscribe for annual packs for all features to work. This for new customers. For us, who purchased before April’23, we have only 3 months.
