Means when company starts charging for grid both new and existing users have to pay for it…

Booked 450x with pro pack last Sunday (17th Apr) in Bangalore JP nagar EC and got the delivery today. On road price came to Rs 152k. Two separate invoices are given - one for the base scooter with charger with 5% gst and another for pro pack upgrade at 18% gst. Overall a hassle free process from booking to delivery. Thanks to the SA who has been very helpful from day one when we went to enquire in the last week of March to the delivery today.
Regarding the charger - we got a 750w dot charger included in the bundle. Portable charger is chargeable at 13k. Not sure how long the 750w charger will be bundled but hearsay is that it will be bundled for bookings made in Apr or stocks last. No confirmed info on this though.

This makes total sense, they’ve recently also increased prices for their Ather assure. I think they have done commendable job facilitating this forum. They can use these suggestions and make sure to keep users happy
Wqs thinking of buying another Ather… But with Dot charger it’s a complete disaster. Time to welcome Ola or TVS Iqube.

Same here bro, I cancelled Ather due to DOT charger, also their are so many confusions with this new scooter’s portfolio which Ather don’t think is important to solve. Goodwill gone.

Do you mean to say the default charger that is currently sold with the scooter is DOT & no option to choose between Portable/ DOT? I guess it’s still cheaper to buy the portable charger separately than it was earlier.

By default i got portable when i purchased in feb. Dot charger was as an option.

Yes Dot is bundled with Ather now. There is no way of opting for portable charger. Dot charger is useless even if it can be taken from place to place like portable as it is big and heavy… It is connected to your scooter hence can’t be used by some else without mailing Ather about it.

Leave alone giving such option, Ather is refusing 450X owners for later upgrade to pro pack! What if someone thinks he made a mistake of not opting for pro pack at the time of purchase and wants to correct it now? End of the day it is money, right? Take it anytime and give an upgrade

I paid Rs1.73L (Hyd) for the 450x last month 
should have waited 12 days, but too late to think of that.

Same here, one of my friends going to buy Ather based on my recommendations but now he has changed his mind to buy TVS Iqube of Ola S1 because of charger installation space.

But what is the point in owning 2 chargers. DOT charger is not practical and owning 2 charger is a waste of resources. Ather is going MAD and using cheap tactics. They thought user will not notice all this, but in turn this will cause a huge reduction in Ather’s genuine followers.

Yes, the use-case of both the chargers is very different & it sucks that the option is no longer available. Maybe they might start offering it for a discount in the future
This was never an option, to begin with. Even the 450+ owners are not given the option to upgrade. Its a business decision since they can sell a new vehicle if anyone wants to upgrade
Depends on the use-case. Many of the users have purchased the DOT instead. But it totally sucks that the option is no longer available.

Today, I spoke with Ather representative in my office campus who put a stall as a part of lease option for employees.
Got confirmation that 750w charger will be bundled for invoicing done until April. After that it will be 250w charger for base or pro pack.
750w charger will be available at 13k approximately which will work for pro pack.
Couldn’t really understand the whole motto of bundling super slow charger even for the pro pack.

To keep the price below 1.5L so they can avail the Fame II subsidy. They are saving a lot by providing the cheaper charger. The portable/ dot charger costed about ₹20k prior to the announcement
