yes they have to make it free for ever, because we are responsible for the Ather to grow and at the time of purchase they dint even atter a word about this. i paid a premium price for my bike now again i have to pay extra which is not acceptable. @abhishek.balaji plz justice is required from Ather to the existing customers who brought bike at a premium price. its totally unfair and Ather is not loyal to its existing customers.
I think all this changes are because of the legal problems they are facing with the naming and subsidy matters.
By subsidy I mean they are facing some problems in terms of claiming fame 2 subsidy due to the recent scrutiny.
So I guess this is a conscious move to be on a safer side. Now the insurance issues or concerns facing by many is also addressed. Clearly making only 450X as their product and a performance pack is offered as a add-on.
Sales wise it positions the product ex showroom below 1 lakh mark. And also clears the clutter. However the timing doesn’t seem good. First Gen-3 then soon announced 3.1 and now immediately product line up revamp. Frequent changes in offerings is not a good idea.
i may be repeating myself here, but i strongly agree to the point that all 450X owners should get the 3yrs connect pro (from date of purchase)… we all have payed more than what the pro pack costs…
hopefully Ather acknowledges this fact, otherwise IMO it paints a very bad picture for the company in terms ethics and customer satisfaction…
So those who demand concession, in your view; how many days of past purchases from 12 April should be considered for concessions. And lets say Ather will provide concession for those who purchase their scooter b/w 10-12 April. Then people who purchased the scooter on 9 April will start protesting. Try to understand this guys, your demands are not practical and feasible. And since launch, Ather had provided different amount of discounts on their scooter, so all customers purchased their scooter not at same price. In this way; everyone should feel coned and demands concession.
^^ this
someone who wants a basic scooter would opt for the 450x non-Pro (very ugly name) and such a person would not be the kind to sit down, calculate charging times and plan their day according to the scooter. only enthusiasts like us would do that, and such customers would obviously opt for the feature rich Pro pack.
Ather Lite @ 1 lac was discussed many times in the past, which we all thought would make Ather affordable for many.
Now, 450X minus smart features @ 1.14 lacs looks very good deal for the target customers.
Except that Very Slow Charger + No access to grid makes it look a very bad product than what it is.
If this was done 2 years back when Ola / iQUBE didn’t exist, it would have still looked like a good deal.
Now, with the combination of slow charger + offer from competition, I will be surprised if this creates more sales for Ather.
It would make sense to release some YouTube videos on your official YouTube channel with some clarity.

Make a video with comparison of
Before and after introduction of new subscription packs.
Can someone clear this, TPMS had to be purchased and installed separately or it is bundled with pro pack?
It needs to be purchased as an accessory.
It needs to be purchased as an accessory for the 450X w/ pro pack but it’s not available as an accessory for the base 450X from now.
as told earlier, nothing happens and no changes for the existing scooters. all the new stuff only applies to the purchases made after the announcement.
however, a video discussing all the different subscriptions and their differences would be very helpful.
This is how they loot customers in the name of subscription.
Much needed to company to think n compensate for this incident

It is such a bullshit statement since you are making the user charge it for 12-15 hrs/ 80-100 kms.
This confirms the regular 750W charger will have to be purchased as an add-on with the Pro Pack
Isn’t this more expensive than the old price?
Suppose I purchase 450x pro today (with 750Watt charger) and after 2 days they develop this charger as mentioned in the quote, will their be any change in the charging conditions and do I need to purchase the new one or it will be replaced with old one? Does anyone has answer?
250w charger is not yet available so they are giving free upgrade to 750w charger to all who purchases till 250w charger is ready
@HarshaVardhan Hope 250w charger it will take around 12-15 Hours (without Pro pack)
As per your comment, Those who buy 450X (Without Pro Pack) now getting 750w charger, so Is there any change in the charging speed if they use the 750w charger (Without Pro Pack)?
@HarshaVardhan No brother, 250watt charger is available and provided with 450x as confirmed by Ather Experience center(EC) Nawada, Delhi
It is now clear that the default charger provided with both the Pro and Non-Pro models of Ather scooters will have a maximum capacity of only 250 Watts. While this decision seems logical as it allows them to maintain a similar price point to the existing models and comply with FAME II norms, it also means that customers will have to purchase a separate charger, since using the default charger would require an impractical 15 hours for a full charge. This brings the total cost of ownership (450X with Pro) to around 1.6 Lakh, including the cost of the scooter and the additional charger.
Unfortunately, Ather is complying with FAME II norms by defeating the very purpose of FAME, which is to promote faster adoption of electric vehicles. But Ather’s move to provide a slow default charger contradicts this goal. This slow charging situation could potentially discourage first-time EV buyers and push them towards ICE vehicles or other EVs such as Vida or IQube. I really hope other EV manufactures don’t follow into the same footsteps Ather is setting up now.
It is disappointing to see a company that has been at the forefront of the EV revolution take a step back in this manner.
