Hey folks,
With the announcement of the new cities, we plan to start operations in 2021, it’s only fair that we share updates on the cities announced earlier. Our plans to start operations in the 11 cities are progressing, but at a slower pace than expected earlier.
Just a few points that would be common across cities:
- Experience Centers in the cities are under construction, but while that’s happening we’d be starting test ride experiences and deliveries.
- Most cities already have a few Ather Grid points, we’ll be installing more points over the next couple of months
- While we had communicated earlier that the Series 1 benefits would be available only for a month after your full payment is opened, we’re extending this to Jan 15 for Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. There were some on-ground niggles that have now been sorted out, and the extension is to allow those who held off on completing the payment to get their hands on the Series 1.

Hyderabad
Series 1 and Grey deliveries are happening at a blistering pace! We’re super glad to see many excited owners in Hyderabad get their hands on the Ather 450X. Our retail partner is also working on building the Experience Center out over the next couple of months, and we’d be operating out of a pop-up location. If you’re from Hyderabad, take a test ride if you haven’t already. Reach out to our retail partner in Hyderabad for queries on delivery timelines.
Pune
Test rides for the Ather 450X are in full swing, and payments are open for pre-order holders, with deliveries set to begin this week.
Ahmedabad
Deliveries have started and many enthusiasts in Ahmedabad have got their hands on the Ather 450X already! If you’re from Ahmedabad, drop by our retail partner’s location to take a test ride, explore the features, and drive home your very own Ather 450X.
Mumbai
Starting operations in Mumbai were harder than finding a good parking space 
The test ride 450Xs have reached Mumbai and we’ve already started test rides. Oh, our first lot of 450Xs are already on the way, with deliveries expected to start in the next two weeks. Construction of the Experience Center in Mumbai has already begun, and we expect it to be ready in January first week.
New Delhi
While our fingers are itching to have those in New Delhi avail the benefits of the state subsidy, New Delhi’s proved harder than other cities to finding the right retail partner. We’d rather take a little longer to find the right partner so we can ensure a consistent experience in the long term. While our retail teams are busy speaking to potential retail partners, we expect deliveries to start in New Delhi around March 2021. But, we won’t make you wait that long to experience the Ather 450X. Test rides will begin at an interim location by the end of this week. We’ll share details on the location so you can check out the 450X in person and get the Warp experience!
Kochi
Test rides have already begun in Kochi with our retail partner, Palal Mobility Pvt. Ltd. If you haven’t had a chance to experience the Ather 450X yet, book a test ride slot on the website now! Some of you have been sneaking around the Ather Grid point and our potential location in Kochi, and you won’t have to wait too long. Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2021.
Kolkata
We’re working on finalizing the test ride location in Kolkata, and will share updates shortly. Deliveries are expected to begin in January 2021.
