Tarun at today’s meet said that there will be a dashboard upgrade option. He then said if we opt for that we can even get access to get the TPMS and helmet for our 450.

Dashboard upgrade on 450 would enable moving from 3G to 4G, and not other 450X connected features. 450X features are enabled by significantly different electrical architecture from 450, and it is not viable only to replace 450 dashboard with the one on the 450X.

We are working on pause features (upto a month of pause , once in a year) & reminder and grace periods alongwith the subscription packs to account for delayed and missed payments. However if someone chooses to not pay monthly subscription beyond grace, he/she would not be able to use the vehicle or choose an exit option to continue running the vehicle.

An exchange plan would be a godsend for those of us waiting for the 450 but who also fell in love with the X and don’t want both. I hope this turns out to be a sensible option financially that works out for both Ather and the customers.

Is the 3.5G to 4G the only modification possible on the 450 if the exchange option does not pan out?

if i want to go for lease option for 450x in Mumbai… do i have to cancel my collectors edition pre-order? also when will u disclose the lease pricing details?

Hey No!! please dont do that You dont need to cancel your preorder to get the lease plans. How it works is that at the time of full payment (once your vehicle is manufactured and ready), we’d ask for your payment preference, you just need to select lease there.

me a bit more as to how that communication happened to you?

Today at the open house, someone asked if the TPMS and the helmet can be used on the 450. Tarun said if we choose to upgrade the dashboard to the new dashboard then we will be able to get the TPMS and helmet.

Means still i need to pay 400 per month ?? Even after paying about 2 lacks !! Still 400 every month ill require to pay ?? Dont you think it would be too expensive ?? Plus ifh we charge at home that charges would be different !! Means what exactly you people are upto ?

not sure where the 2 lakh figure came from. The on-road price of the Pro version will be around 170-180K depending on which state the vehicle gets registered in.

Also, just to clarify it’s not mandatory to opt for the Ather Charge plan and pay Rs.400 a month if you don’t want to access the smart and connected features and fast charging at Ather Grid.

Why is the cost 400 rupees? For us to provide smart and connected features and over-the-air updates, we incur the cost of data services (provided by the likes of Airtel, Vodafone, Jio), data storage and pipeline (provided by cloud services), which makes up almost all of this cost. Additionally, the plan also includes fast charging.

My suggestions is charge a basic fee that covers data charges and other necessary things.

Apart from that let the customers choose what they need, because if u ask me i don’t need charging in Ather grind but I want full performance and range Bluetooth etc…

But our city is not listed in the upcoming cities list. Will u provide bikes to the cities which are not listed also.

The upcoming cities mentioned in the website are currently the cities in the fray. This can change depending on the POs received/ market size etc. We would recommend you to buy the 450 at the city you reside in so that we can provide you with service support.

My 450 payment window is open and I also have pre-ordered the 450X. I saw the exchange option posted in AMA1, but it mentions that the eligibility for lease customers is 1 year. So if I buy a 450 now on lease will I not be eligible for an exchange when the 450x deliveries begin in July (7 months)? Or I can still be eligible by paying for the rest of the year Or I will have to wait for completion of 1 year? If I have to wait for 1 year on lease then after 1 year will I still have the exchange option and will I still have the option for the collector’s edition?

As long as it is an Ather launched city (where Sales and Service is live / serviceable area), we will be able to support 450 servicing.

That’s correct. Also, ride statistics, predicted range, live location tracking, and remote monitoring will be non-functional.

Not yet. The 4G upgrade option is still being worked upon and might be offered in the future.

Hey can you please clarify the colour of the Collector’s Edition, I mean the inside out mentioned in the discussion thread?

We are exploring different concepts along the lines of ‘inside out’ right now. We will reveal all the details about the Collector’s Edition soon. Wait for it before you make up your mind! You may just love to have it.

If you don’t wish to opt for it later, you can always go for one of the three color options - green, grey or white.
