Imagine that I’m willing to buy Ather 450X-Pro at full ownership cost of 1.59Lakh

Can you please mention the over all expenses I need to bear step by step like:

1. Does this 1.59L include Road tax, RTO Registration etc etc? If not please mention those as extras
2. As you have mentioned 400Rs per motnh. What is it can you please detail?
3. We also have some cost per annum that the 450 owners are paying after taking the full ownership if the vehicle if I’m not wrong it’s called Ather One plan. Can you please detail it?
4. Should I pay for public fast charging, Service, Anytime Road Side assistance etc etc ?

Please answer this keeping in view of Complete Ownership of the vehicle 450x Pro.

What is covered under the battery warranty of 3 years if i purchase outright. Is it only manufacturing defects? What if the battery is below 80% in 3 years within warranty for outright purchase

Warranty coverage is for manufacturing defects only. For outright purchase the warranty coverage will be provided for a degradation of below 70% for a period of 3 years and unlimited kms.

Are you discontinuing 450 Production? Can I choose between 450 and 450x in Hyderabad?

We will only be launching 450X in Hyderabad. You will have an option to choose between Plus and Pro.

The 99k performance pack subscription plan would be ideal if you want your scooter to provide a consistently high performance throughout its life, without you ever worrying about degradation. There is an exit option from the subscription, right from day one. Along with the option to pause up to a month in a year, when you are on a vacation or not using the vehicle. You will need to pay an exit amount for sure. We shall roll out details of the exit plan soon.

Please come up with the proper and full details of the exit plan. That is where customers will have all the information to make all their calculations and decide whether they have to go for full ownership or subscription or some even drop off with Ather. Let it be clear will all the information.

In Mumbai if my bike breaks down say for example a punctured tyre should I call ather customer support or get it fixed from a local mechanic? basically what level of Roadside assistance is provided by ather service and in how much time? also I would think twice before going to a local mechanic with my ather EV

Will the production of Ather 450s continue until you start production of Ather 450X?

The production of 450 will continue at least for a couple of months or more. We might have a break in production when we shift our production lines to the new factory.

Presume someone uses the vehicle for about 8 years and the battery efficiency doesn’t fall below 80% in that case it’s a rip off right? Or is there something like a reimbursement for not using the battery exchange for a given period?

Hey Sunku, The first part of your question makes me feel nice! Because we actually want to build batteries that last forever. Although, my battery R&D team is feeling terrified

Jokes apart, we are confident of our batteries and assure you that they won’t degrade any time soon. However, they are not physics-defying as yet and they will degrade beyond a point. And let me assure you that they will degrade below 80% in 8 years for sure.

Subscription model is for those who do not want any uncertainty around their battery (because not everybody trust us like you do) and want an assured performance year after year.

However, if someone is very confident of their riding style and doesn’t mind simply changing the battery when it degrades below a level acceptable to them, they can always opt for the upfront payment model. the subscription model is only an option.

Thanks. So it comes 1.44+7000=1.51 approx And 1.54+8000=1.62 approx upfront right?? I do not need to pay for any additional like Ather one or subscription ?? If so then how many years?? Any free service included

Yes, Any subscriptions for Atherone plans will over and above this. But not mandatory to buy.

As suggestion, if you are still planning subscription plans, design plans based on ride KMs ( like 100 - 200 kms per month Rs xxx/- and so on). because some users use their scooters very less and some use it for their daily commute.
