Ather, if you guys are looking for reactions to disabling fan in beta update, then NO, nobody is/will be happy about it. People are not saying much because they have already given up on the hopes. Don’t even think about making this change in the final update.
And as @ibbi correctly said, in my opinion also it is,
Unless they have made under-the-hood changes in the stack, which they used to communicate earlier but not anymore.
Like disabling the fan, offcourse!

It’s just 5.12 + coasting regen for regular users, who don’t use phone/bluetooth while driving. This could have been done just by changing the flag.
All these AS6 drama is to sell smart helmets; they had to fix Bluetooth.

Just noticed that fan is disabled on the new update and the scooter is sluggish as hell even after a small ride with a pillion.
Is this how Gen 4 users praise Ather’s performance ? its absolutely horrible.

How are you guys noticing that the fan isnt working? I have rarely heard my fan turn on in 2 years ownership.Mine only turns on if motor is wet after wash and whacking the throttle in warp like a chapri

What are you talking about bruh. My Ather 3.1 has its fan on in all the rides. Even if I’m not driving above 40.

But if u ware to gradually increase it till 50/60 the fan won’t turnon then it kickes in after few mnts

Maybe. I haven’t noticed the pattern. All i know is i can hear the fan noise in all the rides.

I don’t know about y’all. I accelerate hard and break harder. and especially with a pillion I have rarely seen it not turn on. Even though for a brief period. Though I haven’t travelled much in the last week since the update. I don’t see the fan throttling up. Haven’t really gone very long distance or with a pillion through. Plus it’s reasonably cold in Bangalore rn. So maybe that’s why

in summers I feel the strong vibration and buzzing like a KTM bike only while warping with a pillion else I havent noticed it at all maybe cause I only take it out in evenings,Imma try strapping a phone on vent cover and record if it spins up on warp
only felt fan turning on 1% time in my ownerwhip of 450x gen 3 in maharashtra weather since 2022 and I have only used scooter in warp whole time with pillion 80% of the time

In my 2 years of ownership, after crossing 40km it will turn on . Even 1hr plus rides it will on even at 20km speed.

Addressing a couple general feedback points here:
- Auto-connection delayed: It can take upto 1 min for your phone to auto connect with the scooter. If it takes more than a minute, then flag it off
- Album art not appearing: Noted. Will be fixed in stable release
- BT stays on by default: That is the expected behaviour. If your phone BT is off and no device has been paired with the scooter within 3 mins, it will automatically switch off.
- Fan disabled reports: There is nothing in the update that impacts the fan. Whatever vehicle level data we have shows that fans are working fine. Have done a deep dive for the few specific cases reported in this thread and we don’t see any anomalies. However, if you feel there is an issue in your experience, we request you to raise a service ticket and get your scooter checked at your nearest service centre.
- Not receiving app and/or dashboard beta update: Apologies here. We still seem to be facing delays as parts of this process are still manual. Will get better over time as we apply our learnings to future updates.

Fan always turns on, compulsorily, even when the scooter is cold, after a certain speed. I think it’s 40kmph? And it stays on until the scooter comes to a stop.
It could be that your fan is better built, so quiet. Mine sounds like a vaccum cleaner (although it’s inaudible above 60-70kmph)

higher overnight ideal battery drain Bluetooth connections in 1 mins during ideal stay or it does not connect while riding

Come Ryan, If One customer makes such complaint its their Vehicle Issue.
After Beta only My Fan Stopped working, Even Service Center can’t access Developer Mode with the Code due to Beta Software.
Fan not working because of Update, I donno How deep you guys dived. Go on Bit more to find the Root Issue
