Even if the brake sensor fails the brakes would still work though??? If you hit the brakes hard then the controller can very easily cut off power (since motor would be at max power and the scooter would still decelerate rapidly, it can sense that and disengage cruise) PLUS WE HAVE A KILLSWITCH BRO! Its literally never used anyway
by the way things are going there buisness model is like they focusing to sell athers to existing Ather owners by showing there scooter is obsolete by gatekeeping features but reality people got their hands on gen 2 in 2021 the scooter even aren’t that old yet and making that scooter obsolete with lame excuses is just going to make that customer walk away to other brands providing everything at similar or lower cost
if you use kill switch the motor wont turn on unless you completely stop,using it will be wayyyyy dangerous than just holding brakes
also wall excuse was so bad,what wall do you see on a highway? and even if there was a wall i would have seen it mile before i hit it on a highway where CC is meant to be used.

I think Ather wants to be on safe side. If it launches cruise control and it fails due to malfunction, the company will have lawsuits and will lose money definitely. Something like Tesla autopilot, PPL used to sleep or not pay attention even though Tesla mentions that there driver has to be awake since it is level 3/4 autonomous driving. Since Tesla has cameras they could prove the actual truth in the individual cases. Here it may be tricky. Even if they do launch unbaked version of it, it will most likely not be available for gen3.1😅
Bro kill switch is a good option we can use kill switch if brake sensor fails because at least we will able to disengage cruise control
Tho you wouldn’t be able to restart the motor until you have come down to a complete halt at least that’s how things are currently.
Do you really care? If something is wrong why will you keep riding it? Example in my ICE scooter if ABS sensor dies I usually take it to the SC next day and fix it. Rather than riding with a faulty sensor

BRO but you will have to stop completely to move forward again don’t you understand how dangerous it is if a big car or a truck is behind you? also the travel between kill switch and trottle is far,you would have already crashed until you lift hand reach kill switch.
also there is billion in a one chance both sensors wil fail at same time even if it did applying brakes is best option

No bro, that’s very important for me. Cruise control is not that important either. If it comes with existing features then welcome, taking back to give something is not ok
I do use music for long rides, and for call answering also.
And honestly speaking, in city traffic there is no use of Cruise Control, it’ll be just a gimmick. Even if there is no traffic then there are speed breakers in every 200 meters. Think practically, so music and call control becomes more useful than Cruise Control.
But if @tarun and Ather team is so much worried about the riders safety then why are they giving music control option??
Listening to music on 2w is basically putting others life to danger.
He also gave a option where if you are traveling at the speed of 80 and you get a call you can look at the display to see who is calling and then fidget with multiple buttons buttons to accept or reject.
Got an update for my gen 2. After installation it showed update failed. @smridhi.kalati @abhishek.balaji. unable take the photo as the screen passed soon. After the update, regen is not working. Indicator light in dashboard has been changed
