Restart the scooter by pressing both the brakes & power button simultaneously for 10 secs. Then try updating.
Got the update yesterday, It the change log its mentioned Optimised charging from 6pm to 1am and when enabled it will keep my scooter ready with 100% battery by 5am ,
What if I plug it in just before 1:00am ? With just 10% battery , is it going to charge my scooter till 100% by 5:00am? Only in 4 hours is that possible? If yes then how can be this quick charging going to stop battery ageing?
Now I keep on charge at 12am and by 4am it’s crosses 80% and to reach 100% it takes till 5:30am or 6:00am ,
I have a smart plug installed with my Dot charger which cuts off the power whenever the power draw becomes less or by 6am

Unfortunately for people like me optimised charging won’t work. I have to charge 50% to100% everyday

I miss 80% control after this OTA update.
In Optimized Charging 2.0 - it only helps in trickle charging to reach 100%. Optimized Charging 1.0 - was best for me, where I could limit the charging to 80%.
Regen Indication is welcome move.

Hey @smridhi.kalati @abhishek.balaji can you please explain why that regen animation is viewed on old scooters screen, if regen is only for newer versions then why are you showing those animations on older models? Since the government has asked you’ll to refund the charging money you are not giving any sort of benefits to the old customers every new features are valid for new customers?
There are so many things that were promised and didn’t go through.
Honestly this is getting way to complicated what do we expect from the company?

right, it’s plain and simple as the government had given shock on charger refund albeit the company honchos decided as we are returning their amount, let’s cut out the promised features in January Community meetup that is cruise control, crawl control and advanced regeneration and give it to newer customers and by this stroke of genius thinking and blaming government regulations and stating that other companies cruise control is not safe is too vague answers to backpedal on the promised features for Gen 3 and 3.1 which was stated as backward compatibility which seems to disappear as time and days passed away @abhishek.balaji and @smridhi.kalati

Please bring back the old feature of optimized charging, it was far more convenient and practical than this new update.

I just got the update and I lost my ODO reading again. Its the third time btw. Observations :
- Optimised Charging v2 is pathetic. I like my charging being cutoff at 80% and I never charge overnight. I need the control back. @smridhi.kalati @tarun
- Regen animation is okay but without stats its makes so sense. But I will keep asking for Coasting Regen as was promised by Ather.
- I need my ODO readings back.

Is the white line shrinking in the wings of power in the video an indicator of regenerative acceleration?
Yes, indicates ‘Regeneration’ is ‘Active’.
It’s useless in the current 3.1 450x
After the screen was ON showing this display. I had not used the scooter for more than 3 days, also not sure when was this updated.
Day before yesterday.

This issue, plus if the charger is connected overnight and the scooter updates itself midnight, it automatically unlocks the charger and anyone can simply pull it out and steal. A really big issue, needs fixing ASAP

+1 I left my Ather to charge overnight optimised charging1.0 was on but due to update next morning the battery Percentage was 91 lol…
Also I got late just because it was installing the update which took around 20 min ( this was the first time I had to wait this long for an update to get install)

Portable charger doesn’t automatically unlock until u turn on the key.
