Ather Rizta has been priced almost same as Ather 450S, and to me it will make 450S less attractive to any potential buyer.

RiztaS gives more range than 450s, has more boot space and is in general more feature laden properly.

Does it mean 450S will be discontinued soon? Is there any significant feature difference between the two?

Also I appreciate that they have removed ride mode and kept only 2modes now. Smart eco and Zip (sports?) since smart eco is able to achieve the speed that you get in ride mode. I too have used only 2 modes -Smart eco and sports. Ride never made any sense to me since you achieve 65kph at smart eco and ride too gives you the same.

We notice there are compromises…

  • Rear disk brake is replaced with drum brakes
  • Rear chase is not aluminium alloy anymore
  • No lill switch
  • No indicator sound

The above list may increase when people get the delivery.

The benefits what I see getting Rizta are,

  • Big enough for a family with a kid - the main selling point
  • Anti skid
  • Mobile phone charger on the boot
  • Less dirt splash on the rear side.

I have my doubts on the mono suspension. Ather 450 has a very stiff suspension and distance between wheel and mudgard is huge, whereas for Rizta it’s minimal. Did they make the suspension more stiff?

As per media Ather told them those are pre production models so fit and finish lacks

We need to wait until they test it

Kill switch and indicator sound have also been removed from latest 450s models

That is not rizta, just a naked frame model from 450 and 1 single frame model from rizta. Rizta does not have dual disc brake setup.

Speaker is there as during presentation of Arherstack 6 ping my scooter they used Rizta and Tarun mentioned the speaker will also go off with sounds.

The Ather website’s Rizta page shows that you will be able to send a location from WhatsApp to you scooter. I suppose this feature will be brought with the new Ather stack for all users?

This is very much needed feature !

How is that for the same battery pack of 2.9kwh and 3.7kwh, Ather says Rizta will have a higher range than the 450 series?

Event Rizta S has certifies range of 123km as compared to 115km of 450S

As far as I remember, this feature exists already.

Motor performance and other things probably.

most probably its throttle input would be way laggy like OLA compared to 450 as its not focused as being sporty scooter,450 eco mode has good power in that too until 35kmph

The haptic demonstration at ACDC was amazing and probably seems like the way they might go instead of speaker sounds

It’ll affect the motor and shorten its life span. You got to use the parts for what its really meant for.

Haptics were nice but they would need a lot of getting used to. It seemed like the scooter was moving forward without my input and that was scary :joy:

I asked that also they told it’s just varying the amplitude of the motor and does not affect long term
