Today marks my three year anniversary with my Ather and what an experience has it been. Such beautiful scooter, fun and confidence inspiring riding and all the tech that comes with it. Not to mention the attention it gathers till date. It was the perfect day to ride the newer scooters of the family. For the family. ( sadly Apex wasn’t available)
For my brief test ride experience, I liked the Rizta. It looks better in real than in photos, you could get used to it. It is comfortable, colours are nice and stands up to the quality of Ather. The zip mode is like the Ride mode and the brakes are good. I LOVE magic twist. Really cool stuff. You might be disappointed to not to see touch but the joystick is fun to use, once you get the hang of it. It feels a little bulky to ride but doesn’t loose on the manoeuvrebility (I was not able to get it right) . I think people would be able to get used to it. Boot space is a plus and the new safety features are nice. I hope people won’t need to use them. Autohold works well. I think it would be great family scooter. I hope I get to ride it for a longer time so I can convince people to buy it and more photo ops.
Any idea how tofigure out what rizta trim level one has, don’t have home charger yet to charge up to see how many km range it gives me? Decoding VIN doesn’t tell you if it’s Z 2.9 or 3.7
I am using my Rizta since end of June and completed one month . Few issues which I’m facing 1. Squeaking sound from rear brake. This looks like after impact of magic twist as I was not using brakes at all and with monsoon the brakes have got rusted ?
2. The floor board cover has started bending / swelling / puffing etc. It doesn’t have a centre screw and maybe due to its width and monsoon water the sticky thing inside it
The scooter is not capable to climb a gradient of less than 10 degree with pavilion. total weight 120 Kgs

Scooter motor gave-off at mid of the climb in Smart Eco mode and was required to push it on Zip mode
Yes should climb in eco mode as well.
Today on flat road scooter was not accelerating above 30kmph throttle was fully twisted and it was evident there is some issue with software or the motor.
Also,
The Skid control symbol is showing it as off even thought it is ON in the settings.
Hello people, I have created a group for Rizta owners on telegram do join for discussions and tips among owners. 450 users should also join. Thank you.
Hi I am using Rizta 2.9 Kw since a month.
I am only getting 97 km range in Smartecho mode all the time. is everyone here getting same range?
Till now my experience is as below:
With Smartecho, i can reach upto 52-53 km/h speed. I never get a chance to go beyond it as I am running this in city.
My reversed mode switch looks damaged. I consulted with Ather showroom and they will get it replaced as soon as they have part available.
On the first 2-3 days, my key get stuck inside the vehicle and had to force it to get it out every time. but then after now it is very smooth.
Riding in Smartecho mode all the time with family 4 person (2 adult, 2 child), and never feel under power. note that I am not very much speed lover. for me it is like it works well in the city.
All the time using Magic Twist instead of break and it works well. I don’t know how much battery I gained from it as it is not showing anywhere.
In my case Ather connect is still not actived as Showroom person has still not marked the vehicle as delivered as there is some IDC is pending.
The charging time is typical 6 to 7 hours based on how much your scooter currently charged. in my case I changed scooter from 10 to 100 % and it took 8 hours.
Overnight the scooter is loosing 2% battery in ideal mode everyday.
The vehicle is very much smooth and balanced in riding. build quality is awesome .
you are going at good speed but am guessing average below 30kmph
with that much weight on board its performing fine tbh as same 2.9kw 450x in eco also gives 90km true range still try filling 33 psi nitrogen in both tyres and test the range again
expect more in winters,my 3.7kw 450x drops 4-5% on average
I hope you are all doing well. Initially, I had booked a 2.9 kWh electric scooter, but I decided to upgrade to a 3.7 kWh model, and here’s why.
My weight is around 120 kg, and when carrying a pillion, the total weight on the scooter is around 200 kg. I realized that the initial choice would not provide sufficient range for my daily commute of around 50 km, especially if I needed to make a sudden round trip to Southern Mumbai from Thane. Therefore, I made the decision to upgrade, and the Rizta 3.7 model is now offering a range of 100-105 km in Smart Eco mode and 90 km in Zip mode, which suits the weight it has to bear. I am satisfied with its performance; I particularly like the Zip mode as it matches the agility of any traditional gas-powered scooter. The Smart Eco mode could be improved, but it’s sufficient for short trips. I would rate the performance 4 out of 5.
On the other hand, I’m disappointed with the build quality, especially considering the brand. The buttons and plastics feel lower in quality than expected, and the lock is problematic. It doesn’t always secure the boot properly, and there are issues with opening the locked handle. I would rate the build and overall quality 2 out of 5.
Overall, I would give it a 3 out of 5. While I have no complaints about the performance, I believe the build quality does not meet the expected standards for the price I paid (₹1,78,000/-). I hope the Ather addresses these issues.
