Ather Rizta design Issues

2023 models of 450S had indicator sound. I have 450S and it has indicator sound. But I agree it is very feeble and even I can’t hear at higher speeds whether indicator is blinking or not. I wish they increased the volume

Yes that could work when scooter is in stand-by mode or a big notification on display

@smridhi.kalati @tarunsmehta @abhishek.balaji Rizta is having design flaws with charging connectors. I have seen plenty of Rizta owners today at charging points who were trying to charge their rizta along with me and every time we connect the connector and turn off the key for charge to start, we keep on getting Locked and unlocked message fluctuating along with the locking and unlocking sounds too and finall getting message on dashboard stating that “Not Charging”.

So i though there might be an issue with specific charger, hence left the connector for other person holding 450x and he was able to start the charge. So i requested him and tried again with my rizta and it didn’t worked. At the same time another new rizta vehicle came and we tried on his scooter as well and the issue was same. This is ridiculous that after investing that much amount and the bike is having these type of issues. Please test few vehicles from your end with fast chargers and please recall the riztas and change the connectors if you feel it is the connector socket issues in rizta vehicles. I have used 450x for 3.5 years and never faced this issue at fast chargers. Also, clearly to inform you there are 3 chargers there at Ather EC Hitech city and all 3 were giving same trouble. So, we moved to another charger and tried there but there also we faced same issue. Finally after multiple attempts for around 20 minutes i was able to charge by holding the connector at specific angle until it gets locked instead of fluctuating between locked and unlocked. Kindly fix this on priority. Also to inform, home chargers are perfectly fine. Because of the weight of the wiring of fast chargers are something there is some connection issue happening with rizta vehicles especially.

I experienced similar issue on last Sunday at the Ather fast charger with my Ather 450x purchased last month. Finally I had to tow my vehicle and could charge it at home.

I raised a complaint and they asked me to book an appointment with service centre which is not at all required.

Today I was able to charge at the Ather fast charger grid without any issue.

Ather must find the root cause of this software issue which is malfunctioning and fix it permanently.

Try covering display visibility will improve. Display brightness is the major issue

Oh God this issue! Yesterday, I was at a fast charger where one Rizta user was trying to get the connector locked, then behind him one latest Gen 450x user waiting in line.

I heard this issue before but I didn’t know this was this much prominent and frustrating. The Rizta user was trying for 45 mins, then we all 3 tried getting the connector locked. The 450x user said he also has this issue, all of us tried his vehicle as well but no luck. Finally they let me charge my Gen 2 while they kept on waiting.

The Rizta user bought the scooter 2 days ago and since he has S varient 250w slow charger on any other socket would have taken so much time.

The 450x user got it a month back, and had only 4 kms left. But they couldn’t use fast charger in ‘Emergency situation’. That too in their early ownership days. Goodluck with your word of mouth marketing. @tarun @smridhi.kalati

I saw there’s too much play in the connector, we can move it while being connected, maybe that or the lock or whatever they have changed in the design from Gen 4 onwards. I am glad that till my Gen 2 and Gen 3.1 they had better quality or quality checks.

Had the same issue when I used the fast charger last week. This specific grid had 2 fast chargers and I tried on both kept getting the same issue and I thought there was something wrong with the fast chargers. But then one guy comes in a with an old 450 model which connects immediately. Seeing this I kept trying for another 15 mins after which it finally connected. Very frustrating indeed.

Same thing happened again today - needed to use the grid for my rizta s but it just wouldn’t charge, I tried for 10 mins and then got tired and just left it. After purchasing the vehicle I have used(or tried to use) the grid 2 times and have faces this issue both the times. Has anyone found a solution to this?

I once faced this issue with my Rizta Z. I did a dashboard reset and it started charging.

I tried this too, but didn’t solved the purpose. Whenever i raise any ticket someone from Ather is calling me from bangalore and asking which is the nearest service centre to me and asking me to take to the SC once. Once i visit Service Centre they are saying it is happening with few batch of vehicles and they don’t know where is the exact problem whether it is software side or hardware side and simply sending us back. The one who follow ups on calls from bangalore doesn’t call back again asking the status or to know what SC people said.

Ather already knows the issue but they doesn’t want to acknowledge that they are working on this as they also don’t understand where the issue is and simply ignoring customers and becoming another ola like company. They have seen more growth in sales after they released rizta hence they are not even caring about customers and simply ignoring them. Will see for few days if they reaolve then fine otherwise will send legal notice from consumer court regarding the same. We are purchasing with our money and they are not giving the worth product for paying high amounts. They are just throwing defects on us. I have used 450x since 2021 and never seen such a bad service from Ather. Day by day Ather is becoming worst in terms of service and quality as well with lot of bugs or defects etc. @tarun @smridhi.kalati

Even i am unable to create a topic in the forum as well and no one responds for it. As per the forum rules i need to be upgraded to next trust level and can create topic or attach pics in replies etc. but they are not allowing me to do so and when contacted the forum moderator @smridhi.kalati she never responds

Hey guys, so last night I used my Ather Rizta and was like on 25% battery and about 22kms of range, just got to get some medicines from the pharmacy, keyed off the bike and returned back within 5 mins. To my surprise my bike wasn’t powering on, the dashboard was dead and I was in utter shock. I waited for 10 minutes trying to power it up and off but no result. Finally I tried to push my bike and after 20-30 meters or so the dashboard just lit up and displayed a quick 2 second display error” low power mode, key off and on” I’m still quite shocked since there’s no feature to turn this off and none of the Ather guys knows about it. If this feature needs to be implemented the owners of the bike need to have hands on access to disable it, I have seen people riding till it reached 0% and don’t have this error displaying. Seriously need some assistance or if this is a bug it needs to be addressed OTA.

Also weirdly my display has been eating up numbers and not showing 1-2 digits in the mornings and also the indicator has a huge lag after even turning it off after 50-60 meters it begins to turn on automatically and takes another couple of seconds to turn back off

This issue I have faced and after hard rebooting the bike dashboard issue got resolved . Regarding soc it should not go down after 20% drastically . I have driven till it last the soc 5% . No issues observed get checked your bike from sc.

Bro, i have already tried the same technique on that day to charge atleast for sometime as I don’t have sufficient range and also guided another rizta owner with same technique. But this technique is not working all the times at all the chargers

@smridhi.kalati i am not new here, i am already aware of forum rules and the trust levels as i am an existing user for 4 years on another mail id.

User can go to trust level member by following criteria.

Can you please see my below stats image and tell me why i am not promoted to trust level Member and why i am still under basic trust level.

Why Ather always give one standard replies to everyone? why you don’t even check if there is real problem? this kind of behavior will ruin the business some day.

If really i am not eligible, then how come after multiple complaints and now i am a member? Try to understand customers problems and check before replying whether really they have a problem they are mentioning either with bike or anything. don’t simply reply with standard replies like “Hard reboot scooter”, “Read the rules in below link” etc.

After updating Ather stack 6, the software is very laggard and always sticks at a speed above 50kmph before restarting.

True. I don’t understand why Ather is unable to fix the lag issues. Its really a serious safety hazard as lagging also causing indicators issue.

While i am taking a u turn and apply right indicator it is not turned on even though i applied it. Later after 4 to 5 minutes while i am turning left i applied left indicator and still it is not applied. Later after 2 or 3 minutes more suddenly my rizta started right indicator which i have applied around 7 minutes back. I am unable to stop it also and whatver the actions i have done with indicator button, it then follows that order and apply.

Suppose at that time if i want to turn left then how will fellow riders who were behind me understand? Bike is showing right indicator and i am turning left? If they see right indicator and feel to overtake from left then at the same time if i take left turn, it will be an accident.

Ather has to resolve this on priority and they give simple statement as hard reset dashboard. How many time will a user do hard reset. It happens every day in every ride. And although if we reset the dashboard it will have more lag for first 3 to 4 minutes. Is it the solution? Don’t you fix the lag? @smridhi.kalati @tarun

@tarun i will just wait for few more days, if Ather is not going to solve this lag issue and fast charger issue definetely i will proceed further legally and send a legal notice from consumer court. As i trusted Ather and very much satisfied with my earlier 450X i have not taken anything seriously with my new rizta. I am very much disappointed with the issues in rizta. If this continues, definitely i will take a step forward.

We do understand everything will not come in a single day. But already you have well built 450X with majority of software issues resolved over updates in last few years and with that expertise of your team atleast you need to resolve these kind of satefy issues as early as possible. But you are not doing that. Even you are not caring of rizta customers and not resolving any issues hence no updates to scooter as well.
