Bought a new Rizta 2.9 Z variant with pro pack and after 8 days still facing issues:

  1. Factory mode remove before sale watermark
  2. Modes locked to ZIP mode and not changing to Smart Eco
  3. Scooter is not syncing with mobile. (Ather connect is activated, Not sure about propack mode though Magic twist is working).
  4. Raised issue with customer care, but the issues are still there.

P.S. Tried reset multiple times registration done 5 days back. Any help will be useful. Thanks

Except 2nd problem, all should be okay with the factory mode going away.

Thanks, any idea what exactly this factory mode is and why the dealers are not removing at the time of delivery. Noticed one more issue that speed is limited around 30 km value.

It’s been 254 days since I took my 2.9kW Rizta on the road, and I recently encountered “Factory Mode” for about two minutes. As a result, I had to restore my vehicle twice. I even posted about this issue on a forum, but received no response from senior buyers.

When I reached out to the service center (SC) in Rajahmundry to report the problem, they informed me that it was a software glitch. In my case, they manually removed Factory Mode at the service center during purchase.

This is a serious issue because we are paying for features through the Pro Pack, and we should be able to use them from the day of purchase. I primarily opted for the Pro Pack for battery warranty, so features weren’t my top priority. However, if features are your priority, I strongly recommend asking them to remove Factory Mode immediately or raise a ticket. Don’t waste a single day without accessing the features you paid for.

Need Help in Calculating Cost per KM and Savings for My EV Usage

Hey everyone, I need help in verifying my cost per km calculation and understanding my actual savings. Here’s my ride data:

  • Monthly Distance: 1100 km
  • Average Charging Units (per month): 30 units
  • Ownership Days: 255 days
  • Total Distance Covered: 8767 km
  • Average Speed: 30-35 km/h
  • My Assumed Cost per KM: ₹6 (Need correction if wrong)

Can anyone help me calculate the cost per km based on my energy consumption and also estimate my actual savings till now? Any insights would be appreciated! :rocket::zap:

  1. 8767 KMs x 3 RS per KMs = ?? (26301 INR - My NtorQ 's Average Maintenance + Petrol per KMs)

  2. Minus 250 Units Cost = ?? (I took 4 RS per Unit as per Tamilnadu’s EB Cost)

  3. 1 - 2 = 25,301 RS

  4. 25301 ÷ 8767 KMs = 2.8 RS per KMs :face_with_monocle:

  5. 2.8 RS - You consider 30 paise Per KMs = 2.50 RS You are Saving per KMs

  6. Your Savings so far 21917.5 INR

I got my Rizta z delivered 3 days back and from day 1 I didnt even wonder I will face a major design flaw like this in a so called reputed EV Indian brand.

Though I took delivery 3 days before and for 2 days I am supposed to visit the service center but still issue is not sorted out.

  1. To much handlebar vibration from Day 1. It makes me wonder whether they failed to insert a cone set or a suspension on front. On undulations or even a minor rumble strips the handle bar and the brake levers vibrate as much as that I cant even place my hand on handle bars nor apply the brakes even on small undulations. The dashboard and display vibrates like as if they are in a different world compared to vehicles body.

I have a scooty pep even that doesnt rattle the handle bar and brake levers like this…

This handlebar actually acts like a transmission between road undulations and your shoulder.

Very pathetic design.

  1. Taking delivery, coming out of showroom amuzed how the vehicle head/dashboard is making flapping sounds inside. It is not heard in traffic.

Informed showroom on day 1 they didnt accept there is a issue since its already late I came out in dilemma.

Day 2 : Riding with too much vibration with vehicle further felt very much cheated and again went to showroom they acknowledged there is a issue and they will remove the panels to fix and waited for 2 hours.

The issues are still same they seem not to have touched the vehicle as I can see the same dust particles and no sign of unscrewing and refit.

What they seem to have done is just reduce tyre pressure. Because I have a tyre inflator, Checked it pre and post.

I have tried riding with lower/desired/higher front tyre pressure. Still the issue is same.

May I request the so called Ather design experts to get your vehicles checked whether they are sent out of factory with a Cone set and Front suspensions???

If so then why do they rattle? Take a 50k Tvs scooty and do compare.

I received my Eight70 warranty certificate today, which states that it is powered by Reliance. Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know if it is covered by a warranty or insurance?

I also paid for Eight70 Warranty on 19-12-2024, contacted Ather on mail after 60 day’s from the payment they replied without even reading mail & replied with standard reply that certificate will be mailed within 60 day’s from the payment.

On highlighting that 60 day’s passed already then received reply that certificate will be mailed within 2nd week of March, & still not received certificate from them.

My Rizta handle has become tight again after its first service, and I’ve only driven 8,000 kilometers since then. I’m finding the product unreliable, which makes driving the Rizta quite irritating.

Same issue of heavy handle bar and balancing is not proper with my Rizta at only 2200 KM, Service centers are asking me to come at 5000 kilometer to resolve it.

I’m experiencing an issue with my screen not turning on during my first ride each day. I have to turn the key off and then back on for the screen to light up properly. Sometimes, when I first activate the key, the screen lights up but very dimly, making it hard to see. Additionally, there is a loose sound coming from the display; it sounds like something is hanging and swinging, particularly when I go over speed bumps. I’m not sure why this is happening.

Is it possible to exchange my Rizta 2.9 for a Rizta 3.7 at the showroom through an exchange program or any ongoing offers? Or do I need to sell my Rizta 2.9 privately and then purchase the new 3.7?

No such offers from Rizta. Better to sell of 2.9 and get 3.7.
