Tips on how to get good range from your Ather 450X

Its good to see but i feel its mostly bogus. Same route same driving style but a lot of difference in breaking pattern.

@syed.ishtiaq.apple not everyone (beta users) gets same kind of report. I get report like route map we get after completing a ride in Uber/OLA cabs. It will also have speed ranges in different colors.

I’m unable to post an image here.

I tried to manage with ride mode not crossing the flat area as recommended by @geekykant and you can see that the time taken is 14min. more and it makes no sense to drive that much slow to gain some 10Km more range in display.

I hate the ECO mode. No fun to invest more than 1.7L in this 450X HR and use it like a bi-cycle. atleast bi-cycle will help to improve our health. driving in flat zone is absolutely screwing ourself.

Ather team has to improve the energy consumption or this will go into comparison with other market players and will have an impact.

You will have better control on Speed mode than Eco / Ride mode, because you can decide when to give a small push towards an uphill to get it to coast. Eco will work best only on flat roads with no traffic.

My best efficiencies are always in Speed Mode only.

Warp mode on highway and ride in city is a best of both worlds. You can cruise at 60 and still get over 100 kms of range which is best of both worlds.

Another one driving at 55 kmph in Warp Mode only

This is top speed. Not average speed

The average speed I maintained was 55 kmph. I know its the top speed shown in the image. Please read what I have written above the images

Thanks to this post and the community. Glad I found the post in my early days of Ather journey (1 week after i got the delivery to be precise). I ride in Sports mode all the time and there is no turning back to Ride/ Smart Eco mode now.

Below are my ride (in Bengaluru) stats from yesterday. I rode (sports mode) for 50 kms with 38% charge (91% to 53% with coasting regen turned ON). My sister-in-law took it and rode for 1.6 kms. So I (solo) just considered 50 KMs only.

Note: its a Gen4 450x HR variant.

I think that’s the HR version gen 4

His average speed is 19 to 27kmph and top speed also as in ECO. Mileage minded controlled drive or made to do because of bumper to bumper traffic :vertical_traffic_light: i don’t know!

But these are good to see, i don’t want to drive at this speed. :innocent:

Nope, these are not mileage related rides. I was lucky enough that the traffic wasn’t too much. My weight is around 65-70 and the boot was empty too. I’m an ‘L’ board (already rode 1.3K successfully without any hiccups ) and ride carefully not to drive at high speeds. The roads are not straight to zoom past at 50 kms. Since the potholes are unexpected and speed bumps are not marked well, speeding would cause issues. Only place where i accelerate intensively is traffic signals so that i can evade unnecessary honks and escape from big vehicles :joy:

His top speed is 54, 58 etc. That’s not in eco level. And average speed 26km/hr is also not very slow so as to achieve such great numbers.

I usually shut-down my Ather to save battery drain (which has become painful task after recent issue on Gen 1s)

Few days back, I saw a drop in battery % after start (more than 15% change in SoC), which I have never seen.

Luckily I’m travelling in Hosur Highways, for me these values seem to be very slow. anyway you achieved a good values.

So these numbers are of gen 1?

I am able to achieve similar figures on my Gen4HR this is on only Sports Mode
