I was kinda joking of bribing SC guys to enable Coasting regen on my Gen 3 but to my surprise something at 5K kms service enabled it

its of same power as reverse twisting throttle so doing that does nothing now

It feels really good with a pillion and will make a difference in 10km+ rides but with me alone on scooter its quite aggressive so if it doesnt go away by itself in 2 days I will tell SC guys to disable it manually as not having a toggle for it is annoying when am riding alone I feel like am using throtte way more.

Who enabled it and how? How to get that ECU update. What is it’s fullform? Did you get it OTA? I got my first 5k kms service on 9th jan and didn’t got it.

Can you check if your brake light remains always on? If so, maybe scooter was washed and it was just water messing with brake sensors :joy: happens with me too after a wash.

But even his display shows that its regenerating.

Yeah but if by chance you would have got it, a coasting regen button would have been enabled on the screen too

Yeah it regens when it detects brakes (lights up the brake lights)

Can confirm this happening with my scooter as well. I have seen something similar as well. Just went to check again and no wings of power. I rebooted and the dashboard was lagging.

Yeah true…

if it was the case when I applied forced regen it should been stronger cause the brake regen is weaker than it but its same power as we do by twisting throttle (regen animation does look slower like brake regen tho)

No idea bro I just gave it for 5K kms service today at Ather camp in my town and when I picked up it started doing this.

Sorry for getting your hopes down. When braking Regen is activated (brake lights on), the twist throttle Regen is disabled (doesn’t do anything).

When I experienced the “coasting regen” too, it was weird when riding and felt like forced regen, but trust me it isn’t.

Just simply check if the brake lights are on when standstill. If so, it’s the brake sensor glitched.

Ironically, after reading your post, my scooter had the brake sensor glitched and brake lights on too lol (I also had 10k service done few days ago). Too bad I was at 100% SoC, so didn’t experience regen.

if thats the case I just have to wait till tommorow when scooter should dry up comepletely under sunlight,I pressure wash frequently at home but this has never happened before.

No wonder they were skeptical to implement Cruise Control. Still no excuse for Advanced Regen and ESS tho :skull:

Yarr not fair I was so happy that we would get advance regen and all

You have got a golden ticket to a feature which wasn’t released for Gen 3/3.1 users. If it was me, I would just enjoy it till it lasts. I guess if you restart the dashboard, it would disappear

If I were you I’d never update the firmware and wrap tinfoil around the dash so the SIM card doesn’t detect any mobile data signal.

is it possible to disconnect the sim ?
