Ownership Experience

Both your annoyances are mandated by the Govt(/agencies) sir… neither Ather nor the Insurance provider takes the call.
Despite SC saying no service should be denied without Aadhar, short of a handwritten letter submitted straight to the Ministry (funnily, this is from Dept of heavy industries.) No one has provided any mode to apply for the subsidy without an Aadhar. In fact, although I have an aadhar that I reluctantly got for linking with Pan, I considered rejecting subsidy so I don’t have to handover the family jewels to yet another department. But I don’t think there’s a way to do that either. Unless Ather has a sans-subsidy pricing scheme too. Or Ather can find out how we can apply without Aadhar. (hEhe, I’m fairly certain this would be like the 8th task of Asterix, in The Twelve Tasks of Asterix)
The insurance is inflated greatly because the IRDAI made it mandatory to cover 3rd party coverage to 5 years in the first year. I know this forum isn’t the best place to be explicitly political. But let me put it this way; this is an election year, more taxes, insurance payments… more funds… I won’t be surprised if they announce a larger subsidy in the upcoming interim budget (election year) and then everyone forgets about it. If you will sell the bike before the 5th year, account for the amount + some interest, and collect that from the buyer. :man_shrugging:t4:

i read an article which was from transport ministry which summarised that they are not interested in more subsidy instead they invest in bringing battery manufacture to the masses. that way they don’t have to import batteries anymore and supply chain remains within… good strategy

also lately i also saw some news where BHEL is building a plant for battery with some private firm partnership

if this goes as government plans
ev cost will reduce considerably

Hello owners… can anyone post pictures of the bike with headlights turned on at night?

How bright is the headlight?

Is there pass light?

Hi All,

I got the my bike delivered last Monday, i love the way it is and speed and look awesome. But i am not happy with the initial crank sound coming bottom on the initial pick-up in range of 9 to 15Km\h. Sometime i used to get the same noise in the higher speed as well.

Is the Behavior is usual or something attention is required?

Thanks,
Raghavendra M. R.

Happy to see your response Shreyas. Also glad to have to spoken to your colleague on the phone. Looking forward to all the refinements.

Hey guys, I was just wondering, since some of you have already received your vehicles, have you parked your vehicle in shady (relatively unsafe looking) areas? It’s probably a stupid question, because I’m sure none of you would, but sometimes I park my current scooter in by lanes and tiny roads and my anxiety would torture me if I were to stop for a chai or something without having an eye on my scooter all the time.

Have you had issues when parking on a surface that isn’t very levelled? Especially with the lean angle of the bike on the side stand.

Does the scooter come with a body cover? The road in front of my house has a lot of traffic so my scooter gets super dusty very fast.

Thanks in advance!

Excellent … Hats off to you for the first hand review.

What was your speed details? Max, Average? How many stops in between?

Did you lose power when the battery is 3%? Or can it still run further?
