If this happened after your 3 yr warranty. What would have happened ?

Were you too hard on you 450 ?

I guess buy a new one  no bike company provides 3 years cover so it shouldn’t be a problem and some cases are rare…

Then I’ll have to shell out 30k and buy a new battery.

Nah. Not at all. I took extra care of it

Could be a fault which occurs only under certain conditions maybe? You can try asking them why it happened in the first place

I did. I asked them. And they were like to do more analysis of what exactly happened and to make sure that this doesn’t happen again, we are swapping out your battery with a new one. He mentioned that it was some SW related issue with BMS.

My scooter also suffered same bms issue. But bms is software don’t know how this software issue caused hardware to fail. I asked them same thing but clear answers were not given.

Today Ather technician replaced the indicator switch because the right turn was not working more often than not.

From the looks, I think Ather has changed the model / supplier.

Could be an issue on the firmware level

Yeah. Exactly. I didn’t understand the same part. I hope they are analyzing the same and make sure it doesn’t get repeated.

Mostly. The person who delivered my scooter, opened maps and typed something and it went to the diagnostics. Looked super geeky. And he took a photo of the FW and called up the service guys and told them.

Not sure if it is just me but I have been facing this strange issue where it feels like two parts are rubbing with each other while the vehicle is in motion and I can also feel vibration of the same as well as the sound even while I am wearing the helmet but this sound/vibration goes away after I cross the 25kmph speed mark on the dashboard. In short it feels like breaking the sound barrier. This issue is very noticeable when I am climbing an incline. Has anybody noticed such issue or it’s just me?

Folks check out the predictive range in the app ride diagnostics, the difference between Ride & Sport mode is just 3kms. What do you guys think? Is this realistic showing right information?

It is very much possible. It considers your last X rides in each mode in calculation.

You go in sports mode but don’t utilize the acceleration much…

You go in ride mode… Got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. Now sports mode might look more efficient

I’m also facing the issue, today raised ticket for that. I’ll update.

Okay, when I spoke with them over phone they said it’s because it’s a new vehicle but would fade away with usage but I feel bothered with the sound as this one sounds different.

So folks, I’ve been thinking about ride efficiency and it occurred to me that I save a whole lot more range everyday if i simply shutdown the vehicle regularly and not care abt ride stats. I use my 450 mostly for commute to work and back. The scooter on average isnt used for over 22 hours a day which basically results in at least 5 to 6 kms of range lost everyday, if not more. And how different can ride stats be back and forth between Koramangala & Indiranagar? So now, I shutdown the scooter once i reach work and again when am back home.

So starting earlier this week, have decided to give up on the ride stats in exchange for more usable range. Will carry on with this until they introduce auto shutdown with prior stats sync.

Very true… Savings in careful riding lost in Idle mode drain. I keep playing with both options every week…
