Didn’t expect this from 1 lakh+ scooter.But thing is technicians ather has perfect fit and finish compared to mine and plastic panels are not flimsy in his ather. I think in race to deliver more vehicle quickly build quality has certain taken beating.

Couldn’t wait for again for new part because already my ather was with them for last 10 days for some issue regarding BMS and battery PCB issues. Now this issue.

Did a 60km ride yesterday and observed 2 things:

  1. Belt slip noise has gone at 1700km now
  2. Map on my bike is not laggy at all, turn by turn navigation thankfully works great for me
  3. Front mudguard has started rattling, will need to get that checked

Maybe some screw or nut is loose.

Was curious will there be any training given to local mechanics for ather 450 service.other companies do tat.

Answer is No… All service and maintenance is on Ather itself. No dealership either.

Local mechanics don’t need training. If someone’s adventurous, he can take it to his long term mechanic. Just give him a day. He’ll strip down everything and learn everything :joy:
Give it a year or two, he’ll manage to get all the spare parts and will do the service for 50% of what ather would charge :joy:

I’m not able to turn on my ather since morning. Yesterday I put if for charge and removed it at 96% and shut it down thinking I won’t be using it for the weekend. Now I need to go somewhere and it’s not turning on. No response from the dashboard. No power on chime or anything. When I connect it to the charger, it starts blinking in red and switches to green after a few seconds. I tried the hard reboot and that didn’t work as well. Any idea about this?

Call support. A few people reported the same at around 96%.

Same thing happened to mine as well I think issue is with bms and battery pcb which were replaced and it took nearly 9 days for them to resolve this issue.

Yeah just a day before they delivered my vehicle back.

i took experiments to extreme and motor gave up

so they need to replace it

have done quick test to check new motor performance (if it will be any better)

so generally my motor use to give reduced performance when nearing 20km stretch with continuous top speed

new motor was able to deliver top speed until 22.8km where i noticed drop in power

conclusion: aging of motor matters

I would suggest turn on the key and see if you hear boot up sound… If not leave the vehicle for 5 to 10 min it should fix itself…

No luck. Tried everything. Kept it on for 10-15 minutes with and without charger. Not sure what went wrong. It was absolutely fine till yesterday.

For me I left it for over night charging on next day morning when I tried to turn it back on vehicle was dead no response nothing. Customer care after asking me to try to charge through portable charger then took vehicle for service. Maybe you can try with portable charge to see if it turns back on.
