Thanks for your reply, was looking for someone who would give me a similar example. I always maintained higher tyre pressure and used to fill air myself using a portable air pump in home once a week.
I realized that the puncture patterns in my earlier tyre was quite different and raised the issue with CC but never got a callback.
I ran out of patience and ordered Ceat Milaze from Amazon. Mileage has gone down but has a superior grip. I would advise everyone to take pictures before giving their bike for service.
