After the terrific response to Infinite Cruise on the 450 Apex, we thought—why keep it exclusive?
The feature that made Apex rides effortlessly smooth is now coming to the Ather 450X. Infinite Cruise is designed to make city riding infinitely easier, whether you’re navigating traffic, climbing inclines, or tackling uneven roads.
Starting January, all new Ather 450X scooters will come with Infinite Cruise enabled. And there’s more - we’re also rolling it out via OTA to all 2025 450X and Apex scooters, making the feature fully backward compatible.
Once you install the update, we’ll guide you through how Infinite Cruise works. For the best experience, we recommend installing the Infinite Cruise button - a quick, couple-minute job at your nearest Ather Service Centre, at a nominal cost.
While the update makes its way to your scooter, here’s a glimpse of how Infinite Cruise will transform your everyday rides.
The cost was same for Gen 3 vehicle as well. Ather got 165k payment +50k subsidy - 20k charger. Gen 3.1 is higher than this, as they didn’t get charger refund.
Compared to all the new models what gen 3 got almost nothing.

Ather never said Gen 3 as a Limited Edition but Apex they said.
@TOMMY is who talking about Cost. But I’m talking for the People who paid believing Ather’s Limited Edition will be really a Limited Edition.
@srivatsabs24 travelled from JP Nagar to Big Rock Dirt Park in October 2023 just to see the Apex but There were no Apex and he frustrated then left the Venue without even Completing
@smridhi.kalati Why not offer this as a paid upgrade? 2024 Apex users feel let down for trusting Ather. It feels like the 450 Gen 1 situation all over again—we’re suffering the same ironic fate.
I think we have been cheated and more over I have told ton of people to not buy Ather any more as they keep cheating again and again so finally i have made my mind to leave Ather and move to ultraviolet/simple one who ever comes with all Features.
locking down features and then releasing them isn’t a smart thing to do Ather, don’t keep doing this like you took 1 year to get magic twist and skid control on 450x why? and touch on rizta as well both super simple and complete parts locked down for a year for no reason there’s 0 reason why rizta should not get cruise as well
Exactly. People who have gen 4 will know the pain, no OTA related to a feature that improves the actual ride experience. Gen 2 got smart eco as an update I think. Gen 3 got coasting regen as a backward compatible feature and now gen 5 has infinite cruise.
What did gen 4 even get in any of the updates that improved riding?!
now bt can never be turned off increasing overnight and idle drain, I never ever use it but still can’t turn it off which is kindw bs to me If they don’t intend to fix it I may just destroy the bt+wifi module on my scooter
Today I updated to the latest software build and for 10kms my coasing regen was not working…. I tried turning on and off then also it was not working….
