Important update for Rizta Pro Pack owners

I agree.

I have seen that when you initially start the scooter and ride it on SE, the acceleration is decent and almost feels like you’re on Zip, but after a few KMs, it starts to lower the acceleration.

I think, yes, could be the ‘smart’ thing doing it to optimize the range according to the displayed truerange, high acceleration will lower the range so it might lower it after checking the battery level and the actual range you’re getting, so maybe you’re right.

Final Update: Display Replacement Completed

I finally got my bike back a few days ago! The service team called to say the new display stock had arrived and they would install and hand over the bike the same day, which they did exactly as promised. They even washed the vehicle and didn’t charge for the service, likely to make up for the inconvenience caused by the delays.

I held off updating because I wanted to give it a few days to test the new display, and so far, it’s been working perfectly with no issues.

The only minor drawback I noticed was that, after they removed and reassembled the front body, there seems to be a bit of loose nutting. On bumpy roads and over humps, I can hear some rattling from the front. If it worsens, I’ll head back to make sure everything’s tightened up properly.

All in all, although the process took some time, I got the entire head unit replaced free of charge. It’s been a bit of a mixed experience, but I’m glad it’s finally resolved. Interestingly, I found out there were a few other cases with display issues, and they’re ordering replacement units for those as well. I hope Ather can work on this to prevent it from becoming a recurring issue.

Yes it is the same on my 450S. Smart Eco might give more range but in it the amount of accelerator twist given doesn’t correspond to the amount of acceleration received from the motor. That makes it frustrating and down right dangerous. I had a close call one while using it so I switched it off and now keep it in on norma Eco mode. Although I don’t think there is a way to get normal Eco mode on Rizta like the 450S. I will suggest you use the Zip mode as I use Sport mode so that you get all the torque when you need and there is no artificial limit on the motor and if you ride it sensibly you will get good range irrespective of the mode you use.

There is a great post on the forum about getting better range and how modes and range are not related.

Anyone notice this ?

Now, finally, when you connect the BT to your Rizta, it identifies it as Rizta and not 450X anymore!

Today I noticed that 100% to 98% battery goes down very quickly, even just by riding 300 mtr or so. I charged 100% overnight. Morning it was showing 100% when I start the Motor, I drawn scooter around 300 meter and it battery goes down quickly to 98%. Is this happening to everyone having Rizta 2.9kw varient?

Hi, even I am facing this same issue for the Ather Rizta 2.9kw. Every 300m or so it keep dropping from time to time even while riding @40-45kmph. I feel this sounds like a software issue and this needs to be highlighted’

So basically I purchased my Ather Rizta 2.9kw like 2 days ago and had paid for the Pro pack, there was a server issue to deliver the pro packs OTA hence it could take upto 2-3 days as per information provided by them which was fine, but to my astonishment the pro pack cannot be updated since it needed to be diagnosed by their team and may take upto 2 days to get my bike back from the service centre. The celebration of purchasing my own independent EV bike has come to a halt, hopefully this software issue doesn’t happen to anyone. God speed! X

Anyone notice that the indicator button doesn’t work as intended sometimes ?

Yesterday, while making a right turn, I pushed the switch to the right after which it showed the green right arrow on the screen but it disappeared as soon as I felt that I have given right indicator, it just doesn’t register the i/p sometimes. This is a bit concerning as at first you might think you have given the indicator but in reality, you haven’t.

Have you tried disabling auto indicator to see if the experience is the same? Since you are seeing the indicator light come on, maybe it’s cause the sensor is cutting off indicator too soon. If yes, That would be a different problem but then u can rule out the switch being the issue.
