although 20k is steeeeep for just being able to use what we already own (which I have done a few times thanks to accidental software bugs) but it makes sense considering they wanted it to be the 450s of 2022/23
Firstly could you possibly share the price breakdown on the helmet components ? And also where the components are made ?
Secondly what is the warranty on the halo helmets ?
Thirdly, will the helmet need
a- insurance (wna) p.a. ?
b- maintenance (wnb) p.a. ?
c- servicing (wnc) p.a. ?
(wna)
In case of
ai- fire (if it isn’t fire proof, or in the case it is unable to withstand being charged under excessive heat as there are no safety overheads in public imo)
aii- theft (considering the HK system), etc
aiii- damage (in the event the owner has to jump through hoops protecting it from the prospective thief; accidents, etc)
aiv- flooding (torrential rain for instance Cherapunji) etc
av- electrical mishap (live wires on the ground and/or cable wires etc)
(wnb) Is this applicable ?
(wnc) Is this applicable ?
Fourthly has safety been considered based on the below average civic road sense. Considering that many receive licenses by not ever giving a real exam - how would listening to music not serve as a major distraction ?
They are scarcely able to control their respective bikes / scooters without music. How much more will this impact accidents etc on the roads ?
Fifthly and the fact that it automatically connects to the phone and to Ather ; is it able to gain access to emails etc. ?
And finally, is there a user manual that you can share ?
Thanks @acorreya
I would price the Harman kardon design to 8-10k, by my guesstimate. The custom parts would bring it to ₹13k just above break-even. ₹15k for market value.
Are that’s not possible cuz they dint register it for that unlocking warp mode will be tougher due to top speed
We have the same top speed also. Warp just gives extra acceleration (although sport is more than enough so not missing out a lot)
The main pain point is range and Bluetooth
No Bro, I am giving Hope to You ![]()
I am Fighting for the 450+ People, Because It doesn’t make Sense to me to Hold Features like that
@tarun Its nothing compared to Chargers Refund
HALO helmet is crazy EXPENSIVE! - #11 by Novin @Novin it is imperative to gain some understanding on how this works… both safety and also the pricing. Useful to know.
Comparing cokey cola to the halo helmet is on the one hand trivializing both the monetary aspect as well as the safety aspect. And on the other, given that it is no secret what Gatorade , Mountain Dew and colas do … the analogy seems to border in on that front too. Particularly aspartame.
Is coke seriously made for 25p? Then that is slave labour … right there ![]()
40rs has a making cost of .25 Paisa
I heard from a Friend of Mine, Who is also an Atherite
That Wheee Pay 500-1000 for Car Wash, Really Costs the Owners 8-10% of the Cost ![]()

That is so true
That’s so true it won’t even matter if 4-6 cells are not in proper health due to redundancy it can go a long wayyyy
I have received the confirmation email.
Wait till they upload all details post helmets are delivered to customers.
Same thoughts … hope you managed to read my POV shared yesterday
HALO needs more safety certifications to prove its worthy of that price then 13k is ok afterall helmet’s first job is protecting, listening to songs on 2 wheeler with a helmet where your senses are already limited sounds like a disaster waiting to happen for me
The helmet is supposed to protect my head. After spending 15k I don’t want to keep thinking that I need to protect the helmet being stolen or damaged.
I’m fine with the regular helmet.
Do you have the regular Ather helmet? Does size matter? As in having a larger sized helmet for a tinier person?
Those who buy veggies in their RR. Those billionaires. 26k will be petty cash ; for that segment 26k is akin to 260₹
If it is expensive for you guys then just avoid it. If you are happy with your existing helmet helmet, then use it. Certainly Halo isn’t for you.
Ather isn’t forcing you to buy it.

In general the outer shell is same irrespective of size. The fitting is handled by insole.
The people vouching that its a fair price are the one who are getting it for 6500.
Anyone out here who thinks the price is justified i challenge you to cancel the acdc preorder at 6500, and buy 2 helmets for 26k and post a screenshot here.
Its very easy to support a company just because they’re giving you a product for free or extraordinary price.
And we have all the right to discuss about anything. Even if someone isn’t forcing us to buy a product.
If your friend’s ola catches fire tomorrow near your house and you strongly condemn the company and ola tweets did we force you to buy it, it won’t mean ola isn’t wrong.
From what I gather, the pricing doesn’t seem to be competitive. It has been suggested above to compare it with other premium helmets on the market, but we need to consider the typical buyer of these expensive helmets. For someone who owns a bike worth more than 3-4 lakhs, purchasing two standard helmets for a total of 26-30K might make sense as the helmet’s cost represents only a small fraction of the bike’s value. In contrast, Rizta is intended for practical, everyday use, not for enthusiasts. The lack of significant interest in the product likely stems from its price. Additionally, the features offered by Halo aren’t groundbreaking or particularly innovative. It’s essentially a consumer product, and if the Ather team wants it to become mainstream, they should consider setting a much lower price point to encourage more buyers to invest in these helmets, potentially influencing some to choose Ather for its seamless helmet integration.
I don’t think i will spend 25% of the cost of the Rizta to just buy helmets. Financially it doesn’t make sense. I am not even surprised that they have not been able to cross 1K pre orders in last 11 days. There will always be people (FOMO) who would buy it and we should agree to disagree on this point but it is the pricing which will make this product fail
Gentleman keep the discussions healthy. Everyone has their point of view. Ather gives giveaway every year so yes no need to be exonerated about it. Last year it was free seat upgrade. This year they have given 50% discount on their flagship helmet. So their is no point in discussing why he got it for 6.5k.
People who want to buy, my advise is wait for the actual product review to be out. And then decide whether it’s expensive or worth it.
Idk abt the safety, but if sm1 here uses the helmet to avoid police charges… u are better off paying the police than buying a 15k helmet… i don’t think you will spend more than 5k in 5 years in fines… this not only will save you 10k but will also improve your negotiation skills along with tricks on how to avoid police. Believe me it’s a different high
. Ohh and u can use any earphones for music and calls when not wearing a helmet… just saying… and no i don’t promote not wearing a helmet in any scenario but just putting it out there why you are better off with any other or no helmet if its just to avoid a fine
That’s so true the helmet is so unfinished it need an pinlock needs a sun visor atleast na ![]()
