BESCOM has started rolling out AC and DC chargers for EV. Was driving past the BESCOM office in Kammanahalli and saw a shed with what looked like a petrol pump. Turns out it was a EV charging point. They have 2 units, one a 25kW DC fast charger (CCS 2 and CHAdeMO) and another with a 3.3kW AC ( 3 point industrial STD) and a 15kW GB/T socket DC charger.
That GB/T charger was so damn heavy because of the super thick cable. Both units have not been commissioned yet, but happy to see BESCOM making progress.

Can we charge Ather with it?
What kind of adapter is needed?
If you have a portable charger, the. You could DIY an industrial socket-to-3 point socket and use the portable charger. This will work only on the AC socket that is located in the middle of the dispenser.
I am saving money to buy the portable charger… have saved 2000 till date… So a very long way to go…!!
In my office they have charging point but it’s an industrial plug, will need to do DIY for the portable charger to work. These points are used by the cabs in our office for charging, they maintain a fleet of e-veritos
Request your facility to extend and add 6A socket.
by the time you save more
ac charger replaced with dc charger… may be!
I built an industrial-to-home socket adapter recently to use my neighbor’s charging point. Can use this adapter at the bescom charging point.
Interesting, which socket did you use, thinking to do the same so that I can leverage charging at my office as well.
It’s a generic industrial socket. The female point is fixed to the wall. The male socket is wired to a multi socket (16A/5A) box. I borrowed the male socket from my neighbour, and got the wire and box, hooked up together in a local electrical shop.
