Cruise on Rizta Z with Skid Control

When I have asked the Ather stack specialist, he said cruise is compatible only on 450 apex with traction control.

Rizta Z with skid control also has the hardware capability to get cruise. If not advance like all the crawl and hill ascent and descent support. Atleast give a basic version of cruise for rizta users. Touch and search bar for navigation and option to select between eco and smart eco are very good updates but I would take cruise over touchscreen any day as I can use joystick to navigate the menus even if it’s painful to use.

If you goto timestap 33:50 on Ather’s keynote,it seems like they updated brake switch sensors too which rizta doesnt have

I think those are already present but they want apex to look exclusive so they might not implement in 450x with traction control and rizta z with skid control. That’s why I have asked if a basic version of cruise can be given which stops with any input, to atleast use in Highways and give some rest to right hand while going long rides

You know Ather from almost a decade, yet this question? There is no backward compatibility in the Ather Dictionary.

there will be no basic version of a Ather’s trade marked feature,we 450 users begged almost 3 years for that basic cruise control and got nothing

True but same multi mode traction control is available in 2025 450x and similar technology in rizta Z. So all we can do is ask them to enable it for all with hardware support. But their intention is to keep apex with exclusive features then may be in next year update they can consider to give this option.

In beginning “s” variant only available in LR model now they changed it every model 450s, 450X, rizta S, rizta Z have option to select LR or HR battery similarly we can wish that they give cruise for others atleast in next update.

If you go to 37:23 minutes. It’s mentioned cruise will launch on apex first. So it means 450x and rizta z later

yes it should come to whole lineup eventually but Ather being Ather i dont expect them to give it for existing models as apex production with traction control began bit later than 450x 2025 it could be that they gave new brakes sensors to apex first and didnt update 450x and rizta until now cause the way supply works for new parts they have to clear existing to transition. hopefully am wrong,even though I have gen 3 450x and i aint getting anything lol

Even 45K Chinese EVs have cruise control, and we don’t have it at 3 times the price of it.

All rizta Z manufactured till date has the same magic twist and skid control/traction control disc. hope today’s announcement of enabling infinite cruise to all 2025 450x doesn’t mean infinite cruise is not coming to rizta models, let us know if you intend to give infinite cruise in rizta z atleast in future if not we will keep our expectations minimal. @smridhi.kalati @tarun @swapniljain

Worst experience for rizta no dark mode skid control doesnt work, no cruise control , Also rizta is compatible with the tc mode selection l and magic twist intensity like 450x (2025) still they wont add it to rizta very bad Ather politics I feel like burning the scooter

And Comparing Rizta with 450 never makes sense even though both are having same hardware but softwares and configurations are differents

And The Power Output is limited in Rizta so they have to optimise Magic Twist and everything as per the Limitations of Rizta

It’s better to sell Rizta and buy 450x :fire:
