I have used cruise in OLA S1 Pro,its a bit scary experince than in my car but if Ather has devloped and filled it just give it as a beta and let people use it at their own risk (just put up a unskipable warning for 10 secs like xiaomi while enabling) if they cant figure out to beta channel it some how cause I havent heard any crashes regarding using CC in 2w or just google “scooter cruise control accident” nothing has ever happened let alone with brake sensor reported

looking at recent patent filling Ather is trying to pull some revolutionary wierd stuff given the name “city cruise” to which I would say just dont please give a normal cruise and keep this for upcoming scooters

Warnings yes, if it was something like an indicator going beep etc., but if it turns out that your scooter cannot be stopped at the exact moment, it might hurt. That ain’t the same like on a phone, even though we wish it would come…

well you still have brakes, the motor can sense a stopping force (just like it gives up in reverse if it can’t do it safe torque enough for 3 kmph) or even reverse throttle, any input should cut the motor. After all its about giving wrist/fingers a rest no one should have hands off the handle which could cause delay in input

Issue is Ather’s trying to design it for the cities aka “city cruise” which is never ideal for using CC.I just want my wrists to rest a bit if I wanna goto my nearest SC which 90kms far from my home

That force would include an incline or a sweeping turn. This might affect riding directly especially when in a turn. It is also best to be done in a straightforward manner because responses need to be within milliseconds.

Isn’t Cruise is only supposed to be used in stright roads ? During turns you will have to decelerate and turn off CC.

When driving in long range with Ather it feels very good also continuosly accelerating at slow speed like if we want big range from scooter. Yes Ather is telling it is not safe but at 20 40 speed nothing can go wrong like it should work same as autohold we should have option of brake to exit or accelerate to exit the Cruise Control when we want. Pls tell if anyone is expecting this feature in your scooter as it cost more than 1 Lakh.

they thought hard about this while 450s launch and cancelled cause brake switch design has a issue according to them

again cause of that brake switch it will never come to existing scooters

I can assure 6:40 crash is quite true 450x panels are quite durable,I was going at 60kmph and a idiot with activa-i suddenly took right without looking. My left floating panel directly hit his front fairing

I didn’t fall the scooter was stable like a rock but he fell and activa-i fairing was in small pieces all over the road.Only the floating panel bottom joints were broken and panel it self had small 1cm crack and little scratch on my 450x
