Ather team please change price calculator for grid charging based on the percentage charged / range top-up , Based on time calculation could cause problems in future when you have faulty grid chargers which take longer time to charge than others .

Please check the above post. With the latest update (202328), the charging speeds have reduced after 60% above are the charging times (same thing on 3 back-to-back sessions)
@power_light2000 This isnt a issue I guess. They have reduced the charging speed by a lot. 70-80% takes more than 32 mins now

Is it at the same grid or have you tried different grids to match up the same numbers? Because if this is true then from tomorrow there will be a lot of chaos in the forum. All this time people have not complained about it, because it was free, now that they have to shell out from their own pocket it will be a nightmare.
@abhishek.balaji the grids were promised to work 1.5 km/Min. if updates are pushing in for slow charging speed, this needs to be rectified.

I tried at 2 of the grids and noticed the same behaviour. Aso, I use one of them on regular basis and this has happened after the 202328 update. I think couple of owners have reported this issue in the forum. The charging speed till 65% is done at 1min/1.5 kms in all the sessions

Price per time is most foolish thing ever. Its like talktime 
. Charge for the energy consumed, then the current price decreases to 75% almost the price of the time based charge. I have recommending Ather because of the grid feature for every new buyers but if it is like this then there is no speciality in grids. And little profit from petrol and current bill… Pls dont make the users fools. There is tata ev scooters with higher range and regen capacity, speed. But they dont have grids now. If they place grids your market will go down due to the high price of the vehicle and stupid things going to come. We bought Ather to be free from petrol. But now its like to get away from electricity also.

For me it slow down after 70%. It was taking 10 minute to charge 4%

I think we should compare Range with time not time with percent as Ather provide there data in time and distance
We are not Happy with the Paid Charges 
Make the charging Points and Ather Grid for free as usual, if this type of paid charging continues… then no will will show interest in Buying Ather

same here in Chennai, This time of the day none of the grids will be available to the users, and today only 5 grids are in use in almost the north TN.

It means speed was variable and sometime very slow even back then but no one cared about it and now people complain that Ather slow down charging:sweat_smile:
BUT I AM STILL AGAINST THES SCHEME THEY SHOULD CHARGE APCCORDING TO ENERGY CONSUMED

I charged my Ather 450X at Kadri, Mangalore…From 3km to 82 km (total 79 kilometer), it took 137 minutes… Thats means I am paying 137 rupees for 79 km… Its little too much above my expectations… Time to regret fir simply buying this vehicle… Also, I don’t know if I should laugh at the reason given charging without crowding… Off course let them charge, but this is too much, I feel its better to charge as per the usage than the time. I wonder if the grids all around the world charge at the same speed… (Also, I remember my vehicle getting charged 80% in nearly one and a half hour (90min) when it was free…

Charging money at Ather grid point as started by Ather energy This not fair Ather company with owners cost for charging Rs 1 minutes+ 18% GST is very Hight charges.pls kindly do not charge per minute charge electricity based on Unit method . public ki loot ho Rahi hai ( Vahicle is very costly, compare to other companies.) VAHICLE PART ALSO COSTLY. important note: Ather grid fast charges proper maintenance not done by Ather. … 1:30 hours consuming at those charging point who’ is not maintained properly. So it was charging high cost compared to home pls Review and Reissue new fare price at charging point.

There are different aspects of this.
- People complaining about time based charges.
I agree with this because time based calculation creates the issue what if it charges slower than normal. So this methodology is not correct.
- People asking to charge based on kWh.
This is not correct too because the metric’s doesn’t work as kWh is not the only parameter to consider they have fixed expenses and the maintenance expenses also. So considering just the kWh is not right.
- People who want it for free
No comments. But one thing I would like to say that please try changing your mind set. Free can’t be unlimited
- My point of view
Charges has to be on percentage charged or range gained on Grid Charging. This solves kWh issue and also the issue of slow charging.
