This is due to UV damage when vehicle is parked in direct sunlight. Not manufacturing defect.
This is due to stone chipping it’s only cosmetic damage. Only outer rubber coating is damaged inner steel braided tube is there.
Do check the plastic fairing you are paying the money for the vehicle. It has to be perfect. They have to think about the wear and tear when launching the vehicle. If it’s not so they have to provide something to clear the issue. It’s not about how the wiring is there. You should not happen in the first place
Quick update, we’re bringing in new UI to indicate when active regen is in use. Active regen is available in all Ather scooters, when you twist the throttle in the opposite direction or when you apply brakes.
Okey so if applying the break activated Regen it’s also indirectly killing your breakpad right?
That has nothing to do with brake pads. Brake pads would anyway get engaged if you press the brakes! Nothing more for regen.
you really don’t have to press the brake lever completely, just holding it like very little press will start the regen, you can feel the loss of power and the resistance of the motor in the vehicle.
It would be great if twisting the throttle to the reverse position could act as a ‘toggle’ to activate regenerative braking, rather than having to continuously hold the throttle in the reverse position.
Specifically, if the rider twists the throttle fully to the reverse direction once, regenerative braking would remain active at a moderate, coasting level. This regen mode would persist until the rider twists the throttle forward again to accelerate.
This way, the rider would not need to keep holding the throttle in the uncomfortable reverse position to maintain regen braking. Just a quick twist backward to ‘toggle on’ coasting regen, without wrist strain.
The implementation should meet the braking force filed in the regulatory filings.
But what if I want to control my deceleration using regen? I often slow down exactly at the rate I want by adjusting the force with which I reverse throttle. This implementation would mean I would have to juggle between throttling and reverse throttling to control the deceleration. Just my 1.5 rupees.

So you will have two speed of slowing down.
1 normal slowing down. 2 regen assisted slowing down.
You can use anyone depending upon your requirements and you won’t have to hold the throttle to achieve it.

No I mean in practical circumstances, you don’t want non-stop, constant deceleration right from the time you first reverse throttle but might want to control it so that you come to a halt (or reach a desired speed) exactly where you want to. That is easier now by adjusting the reverse throttle gradually, but would be tough with such an implementation.
Or change the regen activation to the Motor start switch ( push button) so if we need regen than press it or keep it pressed.
Idk our riding style doesn’t match at all. So I agree to disagree here.
TBH, If one customer sees the company not providing the promised features to existing customers, keeping those as software restriction and giving excuses to the customer, the user will definitely think twice before upgrading to a new vehicle from the same company ![]()
I’m with you on this, in slow moving traffic this would render regen useless. Perhaps there can be an option to choose between the one in settings?

Active Regen Mode 2: deceleration only while the throttle is reversed
One question if u be so kind to explain. Twisting the throttle get’s more regen or its the same as applying brakes.
