Yo tarun said it gets smarter over time with OTAs wth is this? ![]()
This happens everytime I turn on at evening, seems like dashboard sleeps more aggressively now it even sticks to last screen that you are on before turning off

If everthing works as it is supposed to; then the Optimized Charging(OC) in settings enables OC everytime you charge. The one in charging screen enables/ disables OC for that particular instance of charging
Even the hotkeys to quickly get into reverse mode have been fritzing out as the updates have progressed, in the most recent one it’s like playing whack-a-mole with the keys to unpredictably engage it.
Hope it’s not Ather’s new software feature.
Ather DesignedDiscontinuance™ for all their planned obsolescence needs.
Agree… My argument is on ‘Turned Off’ OC (Optimized Charging) scenario in Dashboard Settings. In this case, it should NOT prompt when I plug in the charger.
That option which shows up when you plug in, is supposed to be for current charging session.
The one in the settings is global, but when you plug in its for current session.
Either way, doesn’t it follow what you’ve set within the settings? If it’s off within settings, then it should prompt with ‘off’ set by default
It did not work in my case
I have recieved an update today and have updated it but for some reason it still shows 5.7 even after restarting it once . Has 5.8 been rolled put to all gen 2 or its still in phased rollout stage?
No actually, there’s not a switch but a pressure sensitive sensor. The hardware for brakes has been made in such a way, that engaging the lever in the first 5% actually doesn’t move the friction brakes. You can feel it when the scooter is full charged (regen disabled) or when the motor is killed while riding. The first 5% of the brake lever does nothing. The pressure sensor senses the amount of brakes and regen kicks in for the beginning of the brakes. Once it crosses a threshold (where friction brakes kick in) system automatically disables regen.
However the animation keeps playing, which is a bit misleading.
Wait then why don’t they use that data to have a much more linear and efficient braking till the final 70:30 split between physical braking to regen braking, extending the regen even further beyond the point at which the calipers actually bite the disk.?
I also Submitted a complaint on the app the IT team will take a look at it
When charging is paused… the app shows charging done.
Scooter is behaving wierd even though I purchased Ather Connect plans it is not reflecting in the scooter. No smart eco no auto hold no reverse mode even in the reverse mode scooter is going forward and changing to ride modes
Did u try restarting the scooter ?
Yes same result. I don’t have tpms installed but it’s showing the notification
Same thing happening with me .
Tried but issue remains the same
Has anyone ever been locked out of the app like this?? And now that Ather has totally removed the web portal doesn’t this risk alienation of consumer in case of an app error.
Ps- This is the case even after having Ather connect plan active, is this the exclusive software support the company was touting as syncing features.
Reverse throttle regen not working after atherstack 5.8 update. Anybody else facing same issue?
