@chef.arun7 Could you please recommend a suitable back tire for my Anther Rizta?

  1. MRF Zapper FN
  2. Michelin City Extra

I am looking for products that offer good grip, range, and longevity. Online suggestions like ChatGPT recommend Michelin Extra. Could you share your real-world experiences and insights?

Michelin City Extra 100/80-12 :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Some reviews say that it’s dropping in range, but it has good grip for the Rizta. Will it suit the Rizta? Yours is 450x; is there any difference in the Rizta? Or is the performance the same? The Rizta and 450x internals are the same but look different, so if Michelin works for your 450, it should also work for the Rizta? . Please suggest.

Yeah bro customers are already using on Rizta too

Just wanted to check if anyone else here is facing persistent Bluetooth connectivity issues with their Ather Rizta. I first reported the problem about a year ago. After lots of followups, calls, emails, tickets and visits to their service center, finally in Feb 2025 the Ather team assured me they had collected all the necessary data and would be releasing a patch “very quickly.” Naturally, I assumed “very quickly” meant something like 10 days… not 10 months (or maybe they meant 10 years or 10 decades and forgot to mention it?).

Despite multiple follow-ups via email, calls and support tickets, I haven’t received any update — not even a courtesy reply with their timelines.

So I’m curious — is this a widespread issue, or am I the lucky chosen one? If you’ve had similar experiences (or better ones!), I’d love to hear how things went for you. Maybe we can collectively nudge Ather into action — or at least get some clarity about a realistic timeline.

Thanks in advance!

And the issue persisted even with AtherStack 7.0!

Even For me also it is same before Ather Stack 7 they released a update before a week from there the bluetooth experience got crippled it was working fine before that, now they have messed it up

Now i am more worried how they are going to implement the Voice Assist when the UI is very laggy when blue-tooth is turned on

Yesterday, I received the AS7 update on my Rizta Z (2.8 kWh). After the update, I noticed that the Smart Eco mode has been removed. Now, only Eco and Zip modes are available.

I’ve also observed a significant drop in range—Eco mode now shows around 80 km, whereas earlier it used to show close to 100 km.

Is this the same experience for everyone after the update?

Is there any way to switch back to the earlier Smart Eco mode or restore the previous range settings?

I think you need to enable smart Eco mode from settings.

After the stack 7 update, the battery range is dropping. When I turn off Bluetooth, it always turns on again when I start the key. It doesn’t turn off permanently until I turn it on, which is irritating. Anyone facing the same

There are a lot of bugs in the app too! And with them releasing 1 update every month this is going to take a long time to fix.

Worked one day and then just stopped. Tried with the new Ather stack 7 but it could not even find the device. :sob:

Yesterday I had what I can only describe as a near death experience, thanks to Ather’s brilliant “engineering”.

I was returning home from office around 7:30 PM, near Chandapura flyover exit. Anyone who travels there knows how dangerous that stretch is — construction work, muddy roads, and 5 lanes suddenly merging into one, with heavy trucks flying at 50–60 km/hr.

Right in the middle of that chaos, my drivetrain belt SNAPPED. Just like that. In the middle of the road. With trucks all around me.

For a few seconds, I genuinely thought this was it.

Somehow, by pure luck, I managed to control the vehicle and push myself to the side of the road. If I had lost control even a little, I wouldn’t be typing this today.

I called my regular service center manager. He casually told me to tow it to a nearby service center because my home and regular center are 23–25 km away. I checked Google Maps and the Ather app — both showed a service center just 5 km away (Ather Service Center, Chenanthur / Bommasandra).

So I did what Ather probably expects customers to do: I pushed my dead scooter myself, through weekend traffic, in mud, among honking vehicles, and reached the location around 9 PM.

Guess what? There is NO SERVICE CENTER there.

Wrong location. Completely. I searched till 11 PM, asked everyone I could find. Nothing.

At 11:30 PM, exhausted, frustrated, and done, I parked the scooter in Bommasandra metro parking and somehow reached home at 1 AM.

Today morning, I came back on another bike, searched AGAIN, and finally found the actual service center at 10:30 AM — which is 1.4 km away from where Ather shows it on maps. Because of this nonsense, I reached office 1.5 hours late after taking special permission.

After ALL this, you know what Ather says?

“Sir, please pay ₹2200 for the service.”

Are you serious?

This scooter was bought on Feb 7, 2025 for ₹1,95,000. It has run only 20,263 km. I recently already spent ₹2.5k on a tyre.

If the belt has a known service life, WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED IN PREVIOUS SERVICES? Why wasn’t this flagged earlier? Why should I pay for a manufacturing/design failure that could have literally killed me?

What if I hadn’t been able to control the vehicle? What if a truck had hit me? Who would take responsibility then?

This is not just poor service — this is gross negligence towards customer safety.

After going through physical strain, mental stress, wasted time, missed office hours, and a near-fatal incident, asking me to pay for this is absolutely shameless.

At the very least, this MUST be covered under warranty. I didn’t pay nearly 2 lakhs to risk my life on the road because a critical component decided to fail without warning.

Do better, Ather. Because this is unacceptable.

Is every Ather owner/rider at such a big risk?
