Warranty is 3 years. My Ather 3.5 years now. That’s why it is not covered. I see post from Rohit Dalvi below. will reach out and see.

What’s the use of belt warranty when the belt itself is of sh*t quality… I just got my Ather serviced a month ago(15km periodic service) and got the belt replaced…

The new belt was replaced under warranty but it just got snapped into half while I was cruising at 25kmph.

Where’s the quality against what we are charged for?? Thank god I was not in the middle of the road and was cruising at 25 kmph

Last service → 19th June , odo: 14,637 km

Current odo : 15,384 km .

Now you can imagine the quality of your new free belts @tarun

I had the belt replaced on 19th June…and within <1000 km of driving, it broke.

The belt will be replaced under warranty again… but I am concerned about the quality

Belt issues are very rare these Days. Hope You get a Quality Belt this time.

Also You check Intermediate Pulley Quality too

That’s so bad. @tarun don’t risk our lives.

Why can’t Ather Implement this??

One of a Customer from WB (Kolkata) did this Modification.

I didn’t hear anything about Performance or Issues but Company should give a Chain Drive Option too if Belts are not reliable

It could be due to an incorrectly tightened belt. Did the service guys check the belt tension? It could also be debris stuck under while installing.

Make sure they check the belt tension after installing the belt this time.

As Arun said, belt issues are very rare now. No need to worry or doubt the quality, just bad luck it seems. A new belt and you will be fine!

I drove my 450x 32000 km on company fitted belt . I belt tension from myself and teeth is steel looking fine . By Gates Carbon drive App , because service centre is 150 km far from my village.

Also third party belts are now available for Ather 450x 115 teeth,11mm Pitch

Even I have Good Experience with Both Belts on my Gen 2 450x

I made this Post for those who mention the Belt Quality is Poor

Fyi

Drove my Primary Belt for about 42,500 KMs

I don’t consider third party one cause they are more likely to break, cause issue. Then people blame Ather

The Only Issue with Ather Is Spare parts, Its very Expensive, Even Only Transmission cost

Motor pulley- 623 Intermediate pulley-3497 Wheel pulley- 2617 Primary belt- 2897 Secondary belt --3413

Total Cost Of Transmission asbly - 13047 Or Labour cost is very high thats all we know

Price change little bit When New Stock Comes .

Bike chain sprocket replacement is just cost between - 1500 to 2500

One Customer from Erode Changed to Third Party Belt

And It broke after 2-3k KMs, Cost was like 1300-1400

So Now Ather itself made their Belt Price by 1500 + Labour

Hail Ather :metal: on this Move
