A wake-up call for Ather

I have been after them for

  1. Panel replacement since may.
  2. Service since August
  3. Charge issue since September

To my fortune, the part isn’t there, part is there but the appointment is not available, nothing is available and the service executive keeps on checking and getting back. I even tried going to Thane service center but they won’t check if they have the part unless I take the scooter there. I mean, why couldn’t you just check the part needed if I send a photo l and let me know. Why am I supposed to travel all the way, with my scooter on a truck for no reason?

Is it tail panel by any chance ? I also have tail panel replacement pending as stock is not there for almost 28 days now since ordered .

Nope. It is the front rh floating panel.

Oh okay .For me I have 6 different parts requirement , they have 5 parts and 1 is not yet obtained from Bangalore Centre .So , now I cannot go there again and again for 2 different services .So , We are trying to get this sorted in 1 service .The Service center guys are also trying their best to procure the parts but to no avail .

1 . Issue with the COCO outlet is resolved partially where they have refunded me my additionally charged amount and provided a form of redress for the inconvenience. However , RTO error is still on the discussion which I am hoping to get resolved .Tried fixing number plate on the vehicle but still not done due to poor quality of plate handle on vehicle side .

2 . Vehicle inspection is still being discussed and coordinated with service center .I hope this too get resolved . The entire excitement of owning a new vehicle is tormented by the experience I received .Will Never recommend this kind of pathetic experience to anyone .

But I want to thanks the support I received from SM team member of Ather Bangalore and Local service center while dealing with the COCO outlet .Also would like to acknowledge the ASM of coco outlet who coordinated and accepted the issues raised , also assisted while delivering the number plate , document copies and refunding the additionally charged amount and providing redress .

I got my Ather servied for 20k and the cost was ₹7000. Best part the cost for 20k service for my AT brezza was ₹7008.

Could you share the bill? How many parts did you even get replaced? I’m curious to know.

This is day 27 and their drama continues .

They haven’t arranged to check for the vechicle.

I even accepted their proposal for another vechicle when they said initially it will take 1 day ,but later they don’t know how much time they will take to inspect vehicle and I have to reconsider because if you don’t know how much time it will take for your own work , how the hell customer can take another low substandard vehicle as a replacement till the vehicle in inspected .

Every day I am incuring 2k loss if the vechicle is visiting your sc as my vehicle is my bread and butter and your sc takes whole day just to check and blame your technical issues.

Everything we ask ,they don’t have answers .They are blaming customer support , Software team for their inability .

So , by paying 3.75 lakhs I am watching a pure shit show of blame game .

Bangalore Escalation tried their best to resolve issues but so called COCO outlet taking it’s own time and attitude to resolve the issue .

The manager involved thinks by paying me a peanut monetary compensation ,they own me .If this is the attitude of employees ,they good luck for more legal cases @tarun @smridhi.kalati .

The most laughable part is they have audacity to give me in writing that they were asking money from customers to indirectly do shady business with RTO. They literally have given me in writing so I am more than happy to press legal charges under BNS 420 against the outlet and said employees.

Every time I visit the respective Sc ,I can see people shouting and getting aggressive over the attitude of your employees their.But same will never reach to you ,because your employees have found a way by shifting blame on brand and warehouse that they are not responding.Every angry customer is being shooed away by asking them to complaint over call and which in turn will be kept pending for eternity .

Every week I have to call your support line to check the update ,I am fed up of this.

Your salesman fraudulently sold me a faulty vechicle (sold vehicle without registering it to RTO - I showed them legal evidence of selling vehicle without registering it under my name , handed over vehicle under fraudulent wordings , told me to drive illegally ) there are enough complaints to make sure this outlet can get shut and trade license will be revoked .

They have screwed up my RTO details with feeding wrong information and now taking forever and blaming me for their own screwup.

Your escalation manager calling them in a conference call everytime we spoke and they are taking her for a ride as well by playing blame games .

I have 2 Rizta z vehicles ,so spent over 3.7lakhs and still paying to their service.

My first vechicle which was awaiting parts for more than 1.5months and now after paying 11k for repairs , showing same issues right after we took out the vechicle from sc .

Everything we ask for gps , Bluetooth , even when Indicator not working , the service centre saying it’s techical issue without even analysing the physical part .

When we asked to provide estimate time to repair this issues, they don’t have answer .

I might sound complaining but this is the ground reality of what your sales and after sales services are @smridhi.kalati @tarun @swapniljain in maharashtra.

I Have waited 27 days now .But I will soon start calling out every one of you on LinkedIn by showing the call recording , every single step of fraudulent activity your outlet is doing .

Will be lodging an FIR under BNS 420 and motor vehicle act 2019 if the same thing continued.

Ather Service Centers are a pain. Customer Care is a waste of time and energy. Facing issues in my scooter for more than 15 days now, visited the service center twice, dropped my vehicle for more than 24 hours, still the issue persists and new ones occured. Now, service center is asking me to leave the vehicle for diagnosis for 2 more days. When spoke to customer care, they hardly are talking and when asked for escalation path, no escalation path exists. Shared my story on x & Linkedin, no response. Tickets getting automatically closed with no response. Very strong feeling if this continues a good product will soon fail to exist.

Yeah Nowadays Most SC became worst and Customer Support also very Lethargic.

Now with Poor After Sales Service OLA went nowhere than this

i am also facing this probelm even service center also they dont know, i give my Ather rizta s model give 2 days after 2 days they says i cant do it i rase a ticket this sounds like joke even they dont know ,

I am regretting every day of the purchase of new vehicle.

Everyone talks about escalation might help.Trust me it won’t .I have been in touch with escalation for more than 30 days now and I am getting same replies every week.

But now escalation has increased more trouble for me.After escalation over my service center issues ,the said service centre is creating more problems for me .

I have paid 11.2k for the repairs of my first vehicle including service bill of 800+ that is after waiting for more than 45+ days for parts and guess what it’s been 8 days , they are not giving me receipt of repairs which I have to submit to insurance for verification purpose .They are citing technical issue over printing a receipt .How the hell is generating a receipt takes 8 days ?

I can literally travel in train and go to your bangalore office @tarun @smridhi.kalati and your team can make a receipt and I can come back In 3 days I believe , but 8 days and still they are saying that they don’t know when I will get my receipt ?

Next time I will not pay unless your service center gives me a valid bill of repairs or service.

The most frustrating part is there are more problems they create than what we actually went for .These outlets and service centres are company owned company operated (COCO) so this is where trust breaks.

And when escalated , everyone thinks I am complaining too much , but when I am literally looking for solution , all I am getting back is delays and excuses and more problems.

Ground employees straightforwardly calls out your management ,blames technical team for issues .

In the end ,it’s the customer at suffering end whose trust is broken and money is wasted .

I have literally spent more than 20+ hours in past 35 days on calls alone , talking with your escalation manager , ground staff .

Spent more than 1000 rs from my pocket to reach to your service center and just to listen excuses from staff.

It’s nothing but the beginning of a Downfall.

Any idea which SC in bangalore can be the best? if you know or can suggest any please let me know! Thanks

Hi everyone,

I’m feeling really sad and disappointed today. My Ather Rizta (around 7,500 km) stopped working suddenly. After a full charge, I rode about 1 km, and later when I tried to start it again, it didn’t respond — no display, no lights, no charging.

I followed all the steps customer care told me, including keeping the key ON for 1 hour, but nothing worked. Now they’re saying I need to pay around ₹2,000 for RSA and towing, even though this issue happened without any mistake from my side.

I really trusted Ather for quality and reliability, and I’m feeling very disappointed that this happened. I hope Ather takes this issue seriously and helps me without extra cost.
