You don’t know how SmartEco works, and it isn’t even your fault. It is Ather’s fault. They should focus also on educating the customer, instead of wasting those resources on adverts of dumb features (hint: Rizta’s dashboard is in your language!)
SmartEco mode - emphasis on Smart, because Ather gives you a choice to not use the ‘Smart’ Eco but keep the normal Eco instead, on the 450 series (however it is forced on the Rizta)
SmartEco is supposed to let you squeeze out the promised range, by reducing available power based on your riding. Imagine someone keeping a brick under your car accelerator pedal if you’re using too much gas by accelerating too much.
So, if you ride calm and gentle, and you will achieve the range predicted, SmartEco will let give you some extra power on tap, if you need to perform a quick overtake. However, that extra power availability is limited and once you exhaust you are limited to the low speed until you can make up for the loss by riding slow.
True. All the complaints should be collectively raised in social media platforms where it gets attention from senior management. Ather service is the worst and management doesnt even care about rectifying this.
Bro same issue with my Ather 450x bought Ather 450x HR 1.5 manth ago since then head light problem of blue colour light not visible road in night. I am facing accident like situation manytimes .sarvice centre visited they informed me that they alredy sent my problem to Ather company. But after many days no step taken by Ather company.
At Bhavnagar Gujarat still no Ather have service centre..
Engineer came from 200 km away Ahmedabad to Bhavnagar on monthly basis..
Approx 300 nos of scooter sold in my city but still service centre
@Riken_Prajapati I am unable to make a comment on other post hence tagging you here, after how many kms on odo and years of ownership you started facing issues in motor? Since you mentioned that your vehicle is parked at service center since a month, what is the status according to SC?
Faced motor noise around 18–19k km, got it checked then and again during 20k km service as it got louder. Odo is at 23k now, 2.5 years old.
The sc guy has already placed the motor order but no update from the factory side.
I called him and he said it might take 2-3 more weeks or even more than a month.
Been following up with customer support for the past 15 days, but no clear response from the Ather’s end.
Got it—so the noise is coming from the motor, not the belt.
I’m considering buying the 450X, but I’m quite confused due to the mixed reviews. While customer support appears prompt on paper, it doesn’t seem to align with the actual experience. A 5-year warranty sounds good, but having to leave the vehicle parked for two months just to replace or repair parts doesn’t seem reasonable.
I bought Ather 450X on 30th June 2025 and scooter went into limp mode next day morning; 1st of July 2025, restarting the scooter has removed limp mode, problem could or could not be major which I will learn in future and share my experience if any repair happens, I wanted to post here so new buyers be prepared for small niggles. I expected better from Ather as per reviews around but it is not as perfect as it may seem on paper, however ride quality and torque is top notch I won’t deny.
Roz kar raha hu bhai m, abhi tak to faida nahi hua aur headlight to mera bhi blue hi hai lekin fir 10 din tak complain karne ki energy nahi hai, kya pata headlight ke lie dashboard khole aur koi wire kharab kar denge, bahaut bura haal hai service center ka
Plase share uodates if you manage to get thr limp mode error repwwired for good. a friend has a 2 year old 450s and has to let ehe battery drain completely, and the. Charge it back to get out of the limp mode. His other option is leaving the scooter at the service centre overnight where they coorrect the error, but no permanent repairs are known.
I recently bought the Ather 405X. Limp mode occurred just once on the second day, while the scooter was still in factory mode. I did a force restart, and the issue never came back. I’m not sure whether it was a hardware or software glitch.
I didn’t take the scooter to the service center for diagnosis because I was already having a bad experience with them. They gave me a faulty charger that made a loud humming noise. Instead of replacing it with a new one like I expected, they just repaired it.
Unless there’s a major issue or it’s time for the 5,000 km service, I don’t plan to take the vehicle back to the service center.
