Guys, I have Ather 450x. On sunday while i was riding the belt broke i called the road side assistance i didn’t know what to do i tried to book a slot but it wasn’t available. After 2 days i went to the service station myself. Then they told me that the belt is missing now i have to pay around Rs. 3100 for belt and i was told there will be a free service before the first 5000 kn but at the service station. They denied. What to do. Please advice

Raise a ticket and speak to the customer care. The factory belt has warranty of 20000km/ 3years, so it should be free. Ask them why they are charging for it?

As for the other issue, Ather doesnt provide free service. The person who sold you the scooter has lied

Has anyone noticed that the light in the compartment below the seat remains on even when the vehicle is turned off or the seat is locked? This can drain battery. I kept mobile phone on recording mode for a minute & Light was still ON.

This can b the reason pls check and tell us.

I have checked light behaviour in boot space it is working as expected switching off after closing seat . I have made video and confirmed . You may visit to sc may be sensor is faulty .

No Mann… I Think Some More Updates, Becaz There Is No Promise Updates From Ather ‘N’ The Second Thing Is There Are Limited Models Especially In ProPack… We Can Receive More Future Updates…

The experience at the Kollam Ather service center has been terrible. They are very poor at handling customer complaints and resolving issues.

The Kollam service center is just terrible, because of the service advisors they’re rude and don’t care at all. Recently, my scooter and charger lock jammed. Even though I had a booking, they ignored my complaint and sent me back on the first day. I had to go again the next day, early in the morning. They finally took the scooter at noon and fixed it manually in less than a minute, without even using tools! I had to take two days off work and travel 40 km one way for something so simple that they could’ve done on the first visit.

Just get it repaired in any of the electronic service shop. It would be better option.

I realised after having experience of 9 months with Ather that it’s worst EV to buy. Within 9 months 2 times i encountered dashboard issue for which I contacted road side assistance which proved to be the disaster service. Never ever buy any Ather vehicle. I highly regret buying it

What dashboard issue ? Did your Ather totally stopped working due to this dashboard issue ?

It was partially working. It was because software updates.

Gen 2 Gen 2.5 Gen 3 Gen 3.1 Gen 4

All these Models on a 1,000 KMs Ride in 2-3 Days (Each)

I feel like Ather should launch a Vehicle with a 14" Tyre Scooter, Which is Similar like Aprilia Scooters

For us the problem started once we hit 10000 kms. even before we gave the vehicle to service, the dashboard in the scooter went blank, couple of times and we had to search for the solution online and rebooted and took it to the service center. from there on we have been taking the vehicle to multiple service centers atleast once in 10 days. first we went to Guindy service station for atleast 2 times but they were not able to resolve the issue. then we took to Perungudi service station, twice they set up the software but same problem again, then they changed something called PCN, same problem again, then they updated software again, same problem even now. I am not sure investing 1.5+ lakhs is worth only for 1.5years, we are really frustrated. The service center guys are not able to find what the issue is and they say the backend team is working directly from Ather energy; however the problem remains the same even now. We are highly frustrated and now it is evident that the vehicle is totally not dependable. What is the permanent solution here ? @tarun - we need a solution please

Yes me too eagerly waiting, also with ABS. 14" wheel, ABS Brake Cruse control These 3 will be major upgrade to 450 series
