Just wanted to share my Range Test Experience with My Rizta 3.7 HR
I have a 450 plus(3.5 Year Old) and Rizta is my second vehicle from Ather. Since I was curious to find the Actual range of Rizta I decided to take my Rizta for a range test at ODO 1328.
As planned started the vehicle at 3pm on 27.10.2024 with 100% SOC. My vehicle showed 100kms True Range in Zip mode and 125kms in Smart Eco
Surprisingly the next day , the ride statistics was missing for the date 27.10.2024
I raised a ticket with Customer care but they were unable to retrieve the lost ride data.
Ather should concentrate more on software to avoid bugs . Till now my ride is a Ghost ride….Unable to locate ….Only the pics taken by me during ride is left.
My Ride Summary is as follows
Vehicle Rizta Z 3.7 HR
Starting ODO 1328
Closing ODO 1500
Kms driven in a single charge 172
Time Taken 5 Hours 37 minutes
Date 27.10.2024
Bro, I am in Chennai, i use my rizta as daily drive for office, no matter how conservatively i drive, i can’t get above 85-95 on full charge. Is there any way to drive to achieve this. I drive mostly on Main roads always on ZIP mode, usually single, rarely my son will come along.
Let me know if there is anything i need to know before going for long drives like yours.
i once went for 100+ km ride with my son, had to charge the vehicle midway.
And coast as much as you can. Meaning don’t accelerate or decelerate, as much as possible.
Using brakes = momentum energy transferred into heat energy which gets wasted (applies for Magic Twist as well)
To coast with coasting regen on, just hold your throttle at 4-5%.
Keep a good amount of space empty in front of you, and use it to accelerate and decelerate gently, like a cushion. If people are overtaking you, let them. It’s a good thing as people in rush will get ahead and stop honking at you.
Also helps with brake pads life. My rear brake pads still had 10-15% left at 10,000km service.
I dont think it is possible to drive like that in Chennai traffic (peak hours), will try this on some Long drives, May be ECR road or Ring road. Another question Does pillion weight affects range? Physics says it should. but may be IDC is tested with Full load?
Yes of course. The more you carry, the less range you will get.
Also IDC is not tested with full load. They conduct the test with minimum load riding at a constant speed
True… i usually get more range in zip even riding at 60km/hr as u said gentle and slow with throttle. I covered 33kms with just 25% consumed in Zip mode
I am facing the sane issue since the past update. This usually happens with shorter rides (<1km) but I observed a 20km ride to be missing from the stats
