Charging time is same for both. Dot is mapped to your scooter so no one can charge it. There is a option to map other Ather to it by calling CS.

Portable is Multi utility one where you can use it even while on run to charge using a 5amp socket.

It depends on your choice.

So what is the difference between portable charger and the public charging point

These chargers gives ac output or dc output to the scooter

I selected portable charger for myself, but realise the dot would be better and easier to use. You only have to plug the socket into the scooter for charging whereas the portable one you have to connect the power plug and also the charging socket. In Ather dot it is less handling of wires.

No difference. Both are same. Only the handling of cables is more in portable

I have another doubt what is the difference between a portable charger and a public charging point(charger) Do these chargers give AC output or DC output to the scooter?

Dot/PC gives regular speed AC charging while Grid gives fast DC Charging

Actually they are both DC and the power produced by them is different
