Time to say 'Hello' to 'Halo'!

Update: its late update actually, after the issue I was able to finally connect the device after 2 days of my initial issue.

It turned out an issue with my iOS update (believe so). Cleared all bluetooth devices & actually I updated my phone OS and then scanned it worked.

I came to this conclusion because some other device also not showing in the phone after this activity that device also showed up.

@marghoob.hasan Looks like you invested heavily on this helmet. Is this much of investment any good for general calls?

No heavy investment. I found them very good for calls. I was able to take some official call also on it. Good for music too. Looking forward to experience ā€œchit chat featureā€

@deepanjan.sinha @tarun @smridhi.kalati i am sick of the team support now its been 2 weeks now since i raised the complain, when i raised the complain , it was told that i would be connected to some of ur escalation team but till now there is no response, is the team at Ather :skull: , just false promising its users. Why would i even have to raise a complain if the product is right, but someone (manjunath)(bharat reddy)from your customer support have told me saying that why didn’t you report the error that you were facing on the day one ,can i tell the problem when i face it , or in prior this would happen i am calling in advance , is this how you would want me to behave?

Received mine today. Being an early adopter in Mumbai since 3.5 years and also being an avid Ather fan, after pre- booking since community day, after all that wait, I’m disappointed to say the least.

  1. I connected the wireless home charger and the Helmet light went from white to green to red, blinking randomly and then a solid red. The charger light went from white blinks to a solid red. after that, nothing. I asked a fellow Ather Halo user about the light status (Which should have been mentioned in the manual) and his helmet blinks green while charging and the charger is a solid white light. I even tried to turn on the helmet by long pressing the button but nothing. Now after a few attempts, when i connect the charger, there’s a faint red light that blinks on the helmet and the charger light again goes to a solid red. I haven’t been able to turn on the helmet at all.

  2. The size chart for reference is wrong. I’m not saying this as an amateur. I have been using an AXOR helmet (Size L) since 2 years. As per Ather’s reference chart, my head size fits in a M size helmet, i had my doubts but still i went ahead thinking maybe they have a different fit. The M size is way too tight to for me, despite pulling the side straps to ease the ears into the helmet, my chin is just about covered by the base.

Don’t you guys do a final product check before you pack & dispatch??? How, after taking so much time developing & testing it, manufacturing it (with much delays) are you still shipping faulty helmets and not able to even give the correct reference charts???

@smridhi.kalati @abhishek.balaji Are we expecting too much?

Second known case of red light. Most probably it’s not charging.

If I don’t have the Rizta and decide to get the wirless charger, will it work?

Same happened with me and they are replacing the module for my helmet. Being in Bangalore, it was easy for me to go to their office and give my helmet for them to diagnose the problem.

Raise an issue through the app and someone from their team will get in touch with you. I even sent an email to merchsupport@atherenergy.com and someone contacted me in 2 days.

Both the chargers are wireless.

  1. Home charger gets powered by type-c cable.
  2. In boot Rizta charger connects to MPC port in Ather boot. If you don’t have Rizta you may have issues in powering the charger.

Got the helmet but sadly there are scratch and paint marks on the back of the helmet. That too 6-7 of them. Didn’t someone just the turn the helmet once and see what they were shipping? Also, these marks are not something which will go away by some cleaning solution. They are permanent.

Anyone has any idea of when they are delivering the newly placed orders?

Only when they answer when they are delivering pre-ordered ones.

Same so I didn’t pair and asked for replacement.

Did you get a replacement? If yes, in how many days?

Just a question, is Halo just a way to distract us from integral questions that we have from Ather? Ather doesn’t at all seem like a safety concerned company that can even provide helmets that are passed by global standards or even their own quality control a bike having issues is different from a safety gear having quality control problems.

If ur worried with Ather scooter trust me it’s durable as hell which we all and agree on but the helmet idk maybe the bankruptcy risk wasn’t enough it seems for them to pull this kind of stunts The quality control team is getting paid for holidays or they just don’t care… In there defence they do personal call up to get feedback but apart from that idk

This is not how they used to be…

Got my third Halo today and looks like it has charging issues. Its LED behavior is different from first two Halos. Its turning on and getting paired and working well with usual white LED indications. I am able to see it in Ather app as well. But the moment , I put it on charge ( via Boot in Rizta or home charger) it starts showing slow flashing Red and green LED color. Any idea what does it mean ? is it Charging error ?

Charger is good as its able to charge other two Halo well.
