The increase in range is not that significant. You will have to keep the headlights on continuously for 4-5 hours for it to reduce the range by just 1 km. But I agree that DRLs must be ON only when in drive.

They can switch on the headlights only when the Motor is turned ON, otherwise leave only marker lights turned ON? I think the BS IV requires that lights have to come on when the key is turned on. Lot of scooters follow the two phase strategy of DRL (led) on with ignition key ON and headlight ON with engine ON. We should do the same here.
(Except Royal enfield where they think their 55/60W halogen consumes no power)
But I agree based on my past experience with the range of “ZERO” you can still have headlight running for hours in electric bikes, goes to show how hungry is your transport compared to lighting. God/SUN save India when everything is electric!

Pre-ordered Ather 450 yesterday and cant wait to take the delivery of the vehicle.Expected delivery is in Sep 2019.I hope they stick to their deadlines.
If anyone has visited Malls with AtherGrid like Forum Shantiniketan or Phoenix market City,do we need to pay the parking fee to charge the vehicle if in case the chargers are in the basement or in the parking area.Thanks!

If the grid is in the mall parking area, you will need to pay for parking. Because they expect you to visit the mall, watch a movie or go to a restaurant.

Phoenix mall parking charges have increased RS 30 for 1st 2 hours and there on 20 per additional hour

@raghav.srinivasan, Looks like the battery discharge rate in vacation mode is much much slower below 80% (like @harish.vgn’s observation) and this is what I see.
After two days
You might also see why I was so concerned about the drain rate…

Its been a month now since I got my ride its been a pleasure owning the ride,
every day for my work I drove around 20-25 km on an average
Every time on the road one or the other person will be asking 3 questions
- kitnemai ati hai?
- Kitna deta hai?
- Kitne speed se jata hai?
it’s becoming so habitual now I’m promoting the vehicle.
I’m just loving it,
more than the bike I’m very much impressed with the back end support system earlier I had some issues with my scooter, but the team had taken care of each and every issue within no time either the Whatsapp or the app complaint section.

Very normal. It will reduce and stop once the battery hits 90% above ( Depending on battery temp and BMS temp)
