450X is a nightmare when you take it apart the scooter is parts fit a like lego pieces to be held by 1 screw so no wonder labour isnt cheap but 500rs for simple switches is just outrageous
Here is my take on what upcoming Rizta should have.
- New wide seat making a good room for a family of three.
- USB charging port in the storage
- A good grab rail
- Good suspension, not the one from the 450 platform. That thing is like a rock
- a newly improved dashboard with a better processor.
- better headlights. maybe with a projector lens like the one found in VIDA
- Centre stand
- range of at least 120km
- standard tubular chassis, this should bring the cost down significantly
- a good pickup like TVS iqube.
- a price that can give OLA a nightmare.
Ather being Ather : 3 passengers on a 2 wheeler is illegal

Now I have to tag 4 accounts. Can we expect to see pre-bookings.
The best things about the 450 series are the brakes and torque. Hope they continue with the new model.
As Because Its Family Scooter, We can’t More Than 2 Humans on a Two Wheeler
Reality of family scooter is always 2 adults + 1 kid. If they ignore, they are shooting on their foot. I am sure they will go with the trend of how other family scooters goes about.
Amen.
Had a close call today when a cyclist decided he didn’t want to stay on the road anymore and made a sudden move from the left to the right side, across the whole road.
Loose grip on concrete roads and low tyre PSI was suboptimal but I was able to stop with locked rear tyres and minimal fishtailing. Can never cease to appreciate the chassis and engineering behind it.
100% Agreed. The over confidence I get with Ather’s brakes spoils me and when I go back to Chetak or scooty I struggle
Picked these from the website.
iQube looking booty. The key lock systems looks identical. In the middle, the luggage hook area looks a little different? The head also has a Vida vibe. No exposed frame under the seat.
Edit: some leaks from the past. Looks similar no?
Looks like the footrest would still be too short for 2+ people should’ve extended it further (possibly also eliminating the need for the sidestep. It looks ugly on the camouflaged scooter!)
I’m happy that the seat looks comfortable, looks like they have learnt the lesson of having a full cover for the belt drive, the rear grab handle could have been a little higher.
the rear design looks very familiar to the Yamaha Alpha upside down. still, the 12" standard alloy wheels F & R disc brake will attract more customers than the 450 platform.
The overall dimensions still seem a bit small no? If you look at the photos where the guy is riding it, he seems like a well built 6ft dude and he seems like he’s barely fitting. Ola would still be better in this regard. No idea about Vida or iQube
am worried about the high foot board height, ladies have issue with it and tall riders have bad posture with knees touching handlebar on turns specially with pillions already on 450x
There is another video surfacing the internet with 2 people on board and a baggage in the rear. This proves this scooter seat is quite large and will make better seat then ola and will be compared to TVS iqube.
Ather should look at TVS Jupiter for the seat size and comfort.
True. The flatter seat also helps. Still not confident about the leg space in the front tho🤔
According to the first photo above, leg room looks ok-ish. But the overall scooter looks small, maybe due to camouflage and all.
