Ather should have option regarding light it can really save some battery there is no need for day light it’s just wast of battery.

Some part of battery in Ather is reserved for lights, horn and internal functions. It hardly affects your ride range.

Not to mention the government mandate to keep headlights on for 2W in general always. Even BS6 ICE vehicles don’t have a headlight off switch.

It is useful to have the lights on for a scooter for the following reasons -:
1- crazy driving behavior of those who have no regard for your safety - at least you will be spotted a few seconds away for them to straighten up
2- it actually contributes to your safety with vehicles that indulge in blind driving aka BEST buses and lorries as they do not have a blind spot
3- it also enables those driving illegally to spot you when they are driving backwards
4- it helps keep you safe to some degree particularly in raining conditions
5- think about the scooter size and compare it to the max buses and lorries that have - and in most cases - no regard for human life; at least they can see - will be forced to see you
Doubt that this has any effect on the EVs battery life and / or mileage but of course the experts on here can correct me.
