My experience with the Ather Rizta

If there are good vibes then only we can discuss. Yes I will give you riding in Zip mode is exhillerating. But the good vibes of Rizta end there. My Rizta is making sound like a 20 year old HOnda splender. Once I went on those tiny rumblers at high speed and the front black panel (which is where the headlight normally is in other scoother) started making a sound. If I take like deep turns when slow or when getting out of parking I feel the front wheel wobble or like its getting loose(I have a doubth my Ather was not assembled properly the mirrors and other parts were loose) but after a while I catch up speed and its ok. I don’t know why when its the same motor did they cap the speed at 80. I actually purchased the Rizta because the Showroom staff said its the exact same motor of the 450X. Otherwise I would have purchased the 450X I was pumped after riding in sports(I think that is what its call basically the mode which is more faster than the Zip mode) The showroom actually lie they said charging time for 80% They conviniently did not mention. Right now my Rizta is giving me 68 Km on Zip Mode. While on SE mode its 96 I have the Rizta Z the second model which they claimed that time range was only 100KM but now ithey are claiming 123. SO I am pissed I paid 1.58 lakhs and get less rang. I would have actually got the 450 Apex if I had know they would cap the speed. I got it for the large boot space but its not that larger that the Apex or 450 x I could have managed with the frontie. My biggest problem is the seat is like too thin on 450/Apex. That is not where it ends. My Auto Hold mode is disabled or else my bike just auto holds anywhere while riding and then you can’t move the bike. They took 10 days to repair this but the “build up” to the problem started again. What I mean by “build up” is that when the problem first started the auto hold icon would show when riding. Then after a week it would be continously on then when riding my throttle would not respond But it would get allright. Then it would get worse and then it would reach a stage where it would not work at allThen I would have to twist it front and then raise it then it would go only half I had to do that twist and let go till I couild reach home. So after service it reached the stage where the throttle would stop responding while riding. So I said I can’t keep the bike for service for 10 days these guys have not clue they just reset everything so its working. I disabled the auto hold. Now also when I move back a little while leaving a signal or starting the bike the throttle doesn’t respond until I twist it back and then raise it again.

then i feel cheated All EV bikes that cost less have more range and have all accessories like mat foot rest and a center stand. It was very cheap of Ather to not include this. Back then thought Ola was cheaper there were bad stories baout it so I did not go for it also the riding experience is not as great as the Ather. Now looking back I should have spent 8K on my Old pulsar and reregistered it and waiting I could have gone in for the INdie Rider or the New Scooter from Ultraviolet which has a range of 162 so in real world it would be 130. Top speed of 125Km. I feel cheated this bike and all bikes of Ather are overpriced considering the fact that they are buggy lack basic accessories and have less range and lower charging speeds.

The range issue is same here, on my Rizta S HR model where it claims 125 km on Smarteco and 100 in Zip mode, I already get 90 on Smart and 65 in Zip mode. Feels totally cheated by Ather.

That is absolutely correct. Riding pattern is the single biggest factor influencing the range of an electric vehicle, often more significant than temperature or weight on vehicle.

Same issue with my rizta also

Oh man, the post i was searching for a while. Each and every matter you shared is 100% correct. Range is 60-70 on Zip and 85-90 on SE.

I have the same issue of front wheel wobbling, i thought my tyre pressure is low but that was not the case. I have very low confidence when making turns at 10-30 kmph. The tyre wobbles and scaring, my wife is afraid to ride the rizta and taking activa after that.

Did you check with service centre and got any help? Mine is still 3k kms, have to give it to service for this issue alone.

Yes, there are many factors but I did a ride alone with 100% charge in SE, not exceeding 40kmph with magic twist, it gave me 95 which is the max i got till this day (1year old). I have never got that again because its not possible in real use case, i mix zip and SE as per traffic and load which is fine.

But claimed 125 and 95 is nowhere near, which was not the case before magic twist. 450x had a good mileage and close to given range even with sport mode. Bit disappointed about range in rozta, nothing else

It’s been 9 months using Rizta Z. The experience is so far good. One technical calculation issue on the range. I use ECO mode 90% of the time. But the range on the apps shows the number in reverse. Zip mode efficiency surpassed ECO mode.

This issue should be fixed.

Ather estimate range based on your riding style. Just to let you know, you will get more range if you ride in zip mode with half speed and linear acceleration.

Can you specify what is the range you getting in Zip mode and what battery vatient you has? 2.9 or 3.7
