Hey Ather Team :waving_hand:

I’ve been using my Ather 450X HR for the past 3 years, and my sister rides the Ather Rizta — both of us absolutely love the experience and the attention to detail that goes into your vehicles.

One feature I’ve always appreciated is Auto-Hold, especially on slopes. But here’s a small thought — currently, Auto-Hold only kicks in automatically based on the incline. It would be super useful if riders could manually activate Auto-Hold by simply holding both brakes for about 5 seconds while stationary.

This would help in situations where the ground is level but we still want to take a short pause — say, at long signals or traffic jams — without worrying about keeping the brake pressed.

It’s a small software based change, but it could make everyday rides even more effortless and intuitive.

Would love to hear what the community and team think about this idea! :raising_hands:

Please implement this!

But it never works, i have tried it on both my vehicles, 450x and rizta, autohold never engages on pressing the brakes manually

It didn’t show up on my 450X either. It’s not mentioned in the AutoHold screen nor does it work when I tried.

Agreed. It didn’t work for me as well.

Autohold does not work on smaller inclines either. Also, I have noticed when autohold is activated it automatically disengages after some time. This is a serious safety concern. It should not deactivate unless the user throttles the accelerator.

It doesn’t work on my Ather Rizta Z running Ather Stack 7 even though the dashboard indicates that while enabling Auto Hold from the settings.

Dear @ATHER team, please do something work instead of putting the content on the dashboard without really implementing it.

Vehicle is registered and number plates are installed. Everything is clear from our end. I contacted dealer, they told they will do it in the batches and will take minimum of 15 days to activate pro pack.

Today my rizta 2.9z recived atherstack 7.2 first update after touchscreen. They say its stable have to check. May be those waiting for touch will be receiving this version. You waited this long just wait a few days more. You patience will be rewarded brother.

So, hope you have tried out the new update. How is the experience so far? Any positive or negatives? Even, I have received that update and pending installation tonight. Is there any way we can hold the updates without auto installation? I am notified on the dashboard that it would be auto installed in the midnight by 2am.

Changes other that what i said before. Smart eco feels a bit tuned down. Like after Ather stack7 the difference between seco and zip was bare minimum. Now its a bit steady. And dull if you are harsh with throttle. Said this because my daily 12km commute consists of 7 km highway . Before AS 7.2 update i never had to switch to zip, but now i have to most of the time. Also speed in s-eco is reduced under 70 kmph with me and pillion compined weight of 120kg. Other than performance bluetooth still same. Sometimes ok sometimes not. Today even the scooter was turned off the app said connected to scooter. Also in app notification it shows “ rizta r ady and connected to airdrop110 ( one of the ear buds paired in my phone) “

Dark mode was introduced on 2020 450 gen 1 as a software update. Later in 2021 auto dark theme according to time was introduced. In 2025 rizta was introduced touch ui with kind of same ui as Ather 450x, Because both rizta z and 450 share same hardware. Now how hard it can be to introduce dark mode in rizta. Please dont make it next wow feature for next Ather comunity day. @tarun

It is High time Rizta gets a dark mode on the dashboard. It is glaring bright at night even in lowest setting and the light refracts through visor making it Even harder to see the road.

I don’t know how hard is it to give them a dark mode, leave cruise control and other features, give a dark mode, the display is blinding at night and causing severe headaches.

The bright white screen is difficult and harsh on the eyes during night rides. Even Rizta headlights are less bright compared to display brightness.

@tarun @atherteam please implement dark mode for Ather Rizta.

I don’t think they care, people are complaining about the blinding screen from day one. I don’t really understand why they aren’t providing it.Is the code for the display written so bad that you guys can’t even add themes to it? LOL.That seems to be the only reason why you guys aren’t giving a dark theme.

The level of entitlement in your comments is unbelievable. Ather has no liability to give us any feature after purchase and I don’t think any other brand does these things too. We can ask them for features and it’s up to them to provide or not.
